Should I carry into somebody's house?

The father being NYPD scared me though. I was sure he was going to notice I was carrying and since he picked us up from the shopping center (I never requested that he do so) - I was sure he was going to get upset about me bringing a gun in his car... or something.

Well, either he just doesn't care... or I conceal well enough he didn't notice.

He's retired from the NYPD. Citizens can't have guns in NY so the police aren't generally expecting the law-abiding citizens to be "packing." I'd venture to guess the thought never occurred to him and he didn't spot your piece because he wasn't looking for one.

So you still have no idea whether or not your pal's parents would object to your caryying in their house.
