So I was watching the CBS show Elementary, which I normally enjoy. However, in this case, they were discussing a drive by shooting of Detective Bell. In the previous scenes, they showed the drive by, and the shooter was clearly using an automatic weapon. When they were talking about it in the forensics lab, Holmes says it was clearly a semi-automatic weapon fired on 3-round burst (an MP5 to be specific), then goes on to posit that the barrel was rifled instead of smooth bore (amazing deduction, I know), and that this indicates the shooter has access to high end "weapon augmentation."
