There's been years in which I've fired over 10k just in .22lr, plus 4-5k in 7.62x39, 2-3k of 12 gauge, maybe 2k of .223, and about 3k of various common handgun calibers. So over 20,000 in a "good year." Years like that were back when I was single and had few responsibilites, making decent money, and blowing it on factory ammo.
This year I haven't been to the range anywhere near as much as I'd like. I've shot about 400 rounds of 12ga, about 100 .22lr, 400.45acp, 300 .38spl, 300 .223, and about 100 7.62x54R. Give or take 50 rounds on those numbers. These days I load all of my ammo except shotgun ammo, rimfire, and any "Russian" calibers (unless it's x54R hunting ammo). By the end of the year I'll be lucky if I get to 2k rounds fired. Hopefully a few of them put some good venison on the table.
