Hi everyone. I'm relatively new to gun enthusiast scene. I have 3 guns in my collection right now. A Hi point C9 9mm a random 20 gauge single shot and a Winchester .410 single shot. Got the two shot guns from my Dad's attic last time I was in TN. And traded a cell phone for the 9mm. I have a lot of fun when my buddies and I go to the range, but I quickly realized I want to add some "good" guns to my arsenol.

I've pretty well made up my mind as far as a shotgun goes. I have decided on a Benelli Nova or Supernova 12 gauge. I've shot my friends Nova and fell in love with it. And I've heard and read that the Supernova is even better. Just depends on the deal I find I guess.

As for pistols. I'm generally happy with the Hi point, sans the last round jam I get on every magazine I put through it. Although I only have one 8 round mag for it. I'm wondering if the spring in the mag is not up to snuff.

So I'm looking at two pistols both auto loaders that I'm trying to make the best choice on. One being a Glock 22 .40 cal. I put 10 rounds through a former FBI agents G22 and loved every second of it. And I'm wondering if I should drop the $479 on new one that a local gun broker has? Or....

The other is a Beretta 92FS 9mm. I have found one that I liked very well but haven't fired. I've tried reading what I could find on it and I found an article that said Beretta had an issue with slides breaking and hurting the shooter. Is there any truth to that? I always though Beretta was a well made and reliable gun. But the price I found on it was $379 (it's used with no visible wear).

The other issue I have is the fact that I already have a 9mm and would like to have a .40 so I'm leaning more toward the Glock. But I wanted to get some feedback on those two.

Any advice would help.... Thanks in advance.

You will never regret buying a glock, especially if you have already shot one. Personally, I dont care for the .40 glocks. Although, perhaps a sister 9mm to go with your other one. Glocks 9mm is truly thier signature pistol. I love my g21 though. Perhaps you should look to the .45? Not much more cost than a .40 and whole lotta fun to shoot!

Give the 357sig a thought before you make your choice. Maybe a G31, G32, or G33 in Glock. Just a thought for you.

you know come to think of it he does have a G32 with 3 mags and a speed loader for $395. He gets a lot of "marked" guns from police departments. And the only problem I have is that he is a broker in a the neighbor state of MO and I have to have it sent to a dealer in Kansas. (Kansas City area) So I'd have to wait a couple days to get the pistol. I was likely going to be be sick on wednesday and not able to make it to work, but if I was feeling better then I was going to go to a shooting range. :D That's the other reason I was thinking the Beretta. It and a Benelli Supernova are right down the street from me. I guess I could still be sick on wednesday and see what the local gun shops on the Kansas side have. Provided I feel better of course.
