What do YOU carry, and exactly how often do you carry it?

I carry a loaded, nickel plated 2in Smith Model 19, in a Safariland shoulder holster (with the muzzle end up), with two speed loaders in the pocket of my suit, jacket or overcoat, depending on circumstance, everytime I leave the house. Most of the time it's so comfortable I don't even know I'm wearing it. I work in a gun shop and since we do a lot of cash business a lot of folks around here think it's our wallets that must be loaded...;)

HK USP Compact 9 in either a Aker Flatsider holster(I have 2 versions of this holster Belt and Paddle depending on if I am going somewhere where I have to remove my weapon) or a Galco Summer Comfort IWB...I carry this almost all the time even at home...this is usually backed up by a S&W J frame in either an ankle holster or left front pocket...there are times that carry only the J Frame but they are few...if I am out in the woods or on my farm I usually carry my S&W 66 2.5 inch barrel ..loaded with a .357magnum and rat shot combo alternating every other round (I Hate Snakes) in a shoulder holster and a speed strip of .357's in my pocket watch pocket...but I still have the HK on my hip. But leave the J at home...The only time I am not armed is at work.

"loaded with a .357magnum and rat shot combo alternating every other round (I Hate Snakes)" - I like it!

When I leave for work in the morning the P226 is strapped in a CQC Serpa Lock on my gun belt with 2 spare 15 rounders in a Safariland mag pouch, loaded with 115gr +P+ Hydra Shoks. When I get home from work, the P226 gets traded for the Makarov stoked with 95gr Barnaul HPs.

Sig 226, a spare 17rd mag, my Kershaw Blackout knife, holster varies according to what prototype I am field testing.

Mostly OWB in pancake type holsters, but occasionally IWB.

I carry all day everyday.

Up until a year and 1/2 ago I carried a 5" 1911 OWB with an officers model as IWB BUG with 2 spare mags.

What do I carry? I assume you mean not in the field?
This is the collection I pick from for daily carry.

I used to have alot more to pick from but many of them quit getting carried at all. I have started selling off the guns that I quit carrying. I know this is will be an evil thing to many people but I quit carrying the glock 19 and sold it last week.

I think I Have narrowed my carry selection as far as I am going to and will add a CZ-75 compact.

Are these my favorite guns, not neccesarily. Two of my favorites are just not suitable for daily carry.

The keychain gun I do not count as a weapon, besides there is never any ammo in it.

I pick 2 from what you see in the picture each day. I try to have one gun for the left hand then I carry what my clothing allows for the right hand.

after looking thru all the posts I think every brand of handgun has been listed at least once excluding raven/locin types. As to be expected different strokes for different folks!

Pocket carry would never work for me. I can't even put car keys in my pants pocket without being bothered by the bulk and weight.

Since I am carrying on the belt there is really no need to get something small. I alternate between a SIG P228 and a 2.25" Ruger SP101 which are nearly identical in overall length, height and width. Loaded with 13 rounds, the SIG weighs slightly more than the 5 shot Ruger.

I carry both OWB, but have not been able to get comfortable carrying the SP101 IWB. So, when I am not wearing a jacket I carry the P228 in a tuckable IWB holster from Tucker Gunleather. I carry all day, from ~7 am until I go to bed at night.

Normal daily around-town carry: FN Hi-Power in a Ted Blocker DA3 IWB holster.

At work (federal facility): S&W 649 securely locked out of sight in vehicle in public parking area. :fire:

Other work (part time deputy sheriff): Glock 17 in Bianchi Accumold Elite holster; Charter Arms Undercover .38spl in Galco ankle holster.

My always gun is a Kimber Pro Carry, except for the past few weeks. I'm in the middle of a move and don't have a way to secure any guns at the new house, so I just have my 642 there until I can get the safe moved.

Kel-Tec P-32 with Pocket Slipper laser always in my back pocket (unless I'm training in a Federal Reserve Bank).

Taurus PT-145 stainless Millennium Pro at 4 O'Clock for serious social occasions.

Usually a Kimber Ultra CDP .45. When I'm lazy or need something smaller I'll take my S&W 642.

How Often:

Every single day of my life since I got my permit in January of 2005....every one, no exceptions.

When at work:

Shirt and tie, no coat. Either a 642 in my pocket or on my ankle, OR mt Glock 26 on my ankle.

Not at work:
Jeans/shorts and a casual button down shirt, not tucked in. 95% of the time, a Glock 23 in either a Don Hume JIT Slide, or a Galco Fletch. For a quick run out of the house and back, I toss the 642 in my pocket once in a while.

SigPro 2340 always until I qualify with my P220. Department requires that you qualify with the weapon you carry off duty cause your under their insurance.

Two cocked and locked 1911's, a can of pepper spray, an ASP baton, a Surefire flashlight, quick open Gerber knife, signal mirror, first aid kit, and sometimes a backup gun. All this is tucked under my geek/photographer vest. :) Actually It's normally just a Kel-Tec P3at, but I love the folks that like to pretend they're G.I. Joe!

Beretta 96 Centurion everyday, except when at work (I work at an airport, and I can only imagine TSA's reaction if the guy fueling the plane had a gun on him.) Occasionally backed up with a little Bersa .380, if I'm feeling especially paranoid that day. Sometimes the .380 only, if the dress code dicatates. One reload for each. I carry a flashlight daily as a matter of course, handy for lighting dark fuel tanks, airplane cabins, finding your pen on the truck cab floor, and flagging down co-workers when you're tug runs out of gas...

I carry anywhere legal most of the time.
Taurus PT945 Stainless .45 ACP inside my body bag, no holsters.
Round chambered, hammer down, safety off.
Loaded with 135 grain hollow points.
I dont' use the plus one load, I just carry the magazine load which is eight.
And if the battle still hasn't ended after firing eight shots, I have a reserve eight-round magazine loaded with 230 grain FMJs.
