What does your wife carry?

My wife carries a S&W 642 with PINK RUBBER GRIPS, a Walther P 99 by her bedside and best of all she likes to shoot

A couple of my legal assistants also carry concealed. Of course a couple of them are so damned mean and big, they don't need a weapon

Seriously, I think it is important for women to know how to handle firearms in today's society

Well I'll bite...

Right now it's just pepper spray on her key-chain. We're within the 10-day CA waiting period on a new .22 Buckmark which she'll be learning with (my M&P9 was a bit too much for her). After that, who knows- she'll have to read www.corneredcat.com and we'll go shopping again!

I'm thinking a .357 SW J-frame or similar, but it's really up to her.

What does your wife carry?

A purse big enough to hide an M60 in, unfortunately she doesn't carry any firearm with her.

Many years ago, she carried an AMT Backup in .380ACP.

Fortunately, she got comfortable with a Colt Officer's Model (.45ACP) and that is what she carries now.

It took quite a bit of practice to reach a comfort level with racking the slide, magazine insertion and removal, and "rolling the chambered round into your palm" drills but she looks like a master now.

She has rather small hands, and the grip length of the Officer's Model fills her hand nicely. When I try to shoot it, I can only find room for 3 fingers on the grip.

For now, nothing. She's been sick for six or eight months and we've agreed that she's not physically up to carrying yet, and her judgement probably isn't really up to it either.

She DID carry a Glock 19. It's waiting for her when she's better.

Before the G-19, she carried a Bersa Firestorm 22.

Actually she carries a S&W MP9. She even let me shoot it once.

My *husband* carries a Sig 230. I carry one of three, depending on the weather, what I'm wearing, and how much weight I can stand to hang on my belt: Kimber Ultra Carry II, Bersa Thunder .380, or a m37 (no lock).

And a Benchmade knife.
