What will be your first Gun purchase of 2004???

Unless I run across a great deal in a .22 target rifle, it will probably be a Smith N frame. Either a 657 or a 625.

Of course, something I've "always wanted" might show up at a local gun store next week.

I have two pistols on layaway, a 1925 .32ACP Colt Pocket Hammerless, and a 1909 .25ACP Colt Pocket Pistol

However, another dealer has a very nice S serial number S&W M28-2 which has been in his shop for a while. I might try to make an offer tomorrow or Friday and add that to my collection.

Beretta Semi-auto 12 guage. My first shotgun. I can't wait to kill some clays and maybe a few ducks with it.

Scott

edited for proper spelling of beretta

Possibly a Firestorm .380. Like the Bersa Thunder .380 but with a rounded trigger guard and better grips. Was saving for a Sig P232 but I keep hearing too much good stuff about this gun at less than half the price of the Sig or a Walther/Wesson PPK/S. Gotta try it, as I have no .380 in my collection yet.

On the other hand, tell me more about these yet to be introduced S&W 327 and 325. They sound promising.

Another 1911. Probably Springy Mil-Spec. If that goes well, then a few more.

Also on the horizon is a companion lever for the Redhawk .44. Looking like a wrenchester since Marlin is a little light on selection re: .44 mag. Puma is a possibility.

And a Sig 220 since I have not tried one.
And a H&K USP in .45. Gotta try one of those as well.
Working on the Glock now.

I am trying to find the right platform for the .45. I keep coming back to the 1911 :D , but there are still flavors to try. ;)

And, as always, probably look for a FAL. One per year will suit me fine.

Finally, I will probably be in the market for a .223 evil black gun to start training THE BOY, who will be 12 in a few weeks.

I hope your new year will be as happy as mine :D

Depends on the unit I get into when I go back into the army....

If they allow grunts to carry personal sidearms... whatever they authorize.

Otherwise, an HK USP. Don't know what caliber yet... probably 9mm.

Probably a .22 rifle. The CZ is looking good right now, and a Mosin-Nagant M44 can't be one's only rifle in this day and age. :)

For me it's likely to be an AK style rifle. Also in the market for a J frame, could be that depending on what I run across first. Or maybe I'll get really lucky and find them both at the same time!

I don't know for sure which will be first (depends on my mood when I go to buy) or when (anywhere from weeks to 6 months), but here are some of the guns that have been playing on my mind lately:

-Taurus PT911 (I've wanted one for nearly 3 years, but I'm undecided if I'm going to boycott over the smartgun stuff)
-Taurus 905 (I'd love a 9mm snub, but again, I'm unsure about the boycott)
-Taurus 450 (wanted for over 2 years, but again boycott???)
-Taurus 85UL or S&W 637 or 642
-Taurus 731
-Taurus Tracker (in .357mag, .41mag and/or .45LC)
-S&W 58
-Officer sized 1911
-Kimber Pro Carry II
-Springfield Armory Mil-spec and/or Loaded
-"Cowboy" wheelgun (probably in .45LC, maybe .357mag)
-Another lever rifle, this time in .357mag (I love my 30-30 and .45LC)
-CZ 452Lux
-maybe another CZ pistol
-SA M1A (if I can come up with the money)
-M1 Garand (if I can come up with the money for a good one)
-M1 Carbine
-one of the value series S&Ws (910, 908, or 457)
-one of the various Kahrs

I'm sure I've left things out, but these are currently my top choices (right at this moment, subject to change over the course of the coming weeks) and I don't want to come up with too big a list:evil: . I'm also prone to impulse purchases, but most likely my next purchase will be out of this list.

I never know since I "wonder" into things at times.

I have a Persian Mauser and a Smith .38 waiting for me, always looking for mi-surplus stuff.

Biggest thing I want is a Storm, probably will wait a till mid/late year on that though. Let the prices come down some.
