Which 9mm would you choose?

Add the SA XDm compact to your list. You can conceal it IWB and the 3.8" barrel will still give you an excellent range gun when you add the 19 round magazine and grip extension. Like 2 pistols in one.;)

I like the G26. Its reliability, accuracy, and corrosion resistance need no explanation. I carry IWB or in a pocket holster when wearing a suit which is pretty much everyday. Just an opyin that may work for you. Wearing jeans the best you can do is an IWB holster.

Hold an HK P2000, HK P30 and an HK P2000sk before purchasing. You owe it to yourself just to cover all your bases. Chances are, you will like them. I did...and do.

I just made that decision with those same three pistols.

I chose the G26.

Proven design, easy to work on and get parts and accessories for, and just a well built quality pistol.

If the Walthers didn't use roll pins I might of considered one.

I like to detail strip my pistols and don't like dealing with roll pins to do it.

Plus I don't care for that funky mag release they use.

Glock 26 all day long. I've bought and tried 8-10 different sub-compacts in almost every caliber imaginable. I always go back to my Glock 26.

I've had pretty much the same experiance. A few of my "experiments"....Bersa .380 Thunder Del., Taurus 24/7 PT Pro Compact 9mm, Kahr CW .40, to name just a few. (all traded or sold), Kimber BP Pro Ten II (great gun but a bit much for CCW...duh. I just wanted it! lol). Glock G 23 (still working on accuracy), and finally the G 26. If I had bought the G 26 in the first place I would have saved myself a lot of frustration and cash. Reliable, surprisingly accurate, and easy to shoot and re aquire. imo...everyone should at least try it. Although I do not like it without the extended mag.

Walther has the best mag release out there. Never had an issue doing a detail strip.

Va herder

This question has opened a can of worms just as I thought it would. Glad to be able to have this many quality options though. I was planning on waiting a couple weeks before making a choice and after reading all the comments I know I'll be waiting a couple weeks. Thanks to everyone that took the time to share advice and opinions. Might have to buy one that is on my list and one that you kind people have suggested. That would be a real shame lol

i would go with the G26 mine personally can put a whole mag in a 3" shoot and see at 15 yards and has never had a malfunction. I would advise you to get a good holster, yes it is wider but with my king tuck its very comftorable.

Just make sure it is genuinely one that you want, not what x amount of people said you should get. Though, popular opinion can be a useful guide.

I would pick the Kahr, Ruger, then the Glock.

Kahrs have nice triggers and are simple guns. Rugers are solid, but typically have long gritty trigger pulls if my LCP is any indicator. And, I'm not a fan of Glock grip angles.

Just put 75 through my LCP this afternoon. Was thinking the same about that trigger.

And, I'm not a fan of Glock grip angles.

I realize this is a highly subjective thing, but coming from a 1911 guy...the grip angle isn't an issue for me in compacts and and definitely not in the subcompacts. The full size models are a different story. That hump just makes the gun feel really awkward to me. But, the gen4 17's took enough of the hump off the back that it feels waaaaay more natural to me.

I would pick the SR9c.

Keep in mind the dimensions listed for the SR9c are a bit misleading. The 1.27" in slide width is measured at the widest points, from safety lever to safety lever. I believe the actual slide width is under an inch.
