Dear THR:
Which if these select fire weapons sound the best to you when fired on automatic mode?

It is a fun question totally subjective, but there can be more to it than one may think. For me the heavier sound of H&K G3 is more useful for the awe factor.

Whats your pick from the "ones listed in the poll?"

Thank you.

PS. I know there are many many others, but lets pick the best among the listed and perhaps also mention others not listed as a useful side note.

I've always liked MG42, especially anti-aircraft twin setups with an extreme rate of fire. Closed bolt Uzis are a close second for the very same reason, despite their magazine capacity limitations. Touch the trigger and they're empty but they sound MEAN.

The AK-47 and 74 both sound so great on full auto.

My absolute favorite to hear is the Ma Deuce, though. There's a certain intensity to it.

I voted AKM, just because mine wasn't on the list. I'm not just saying this because it IS mine, but I swear my MAX11 with the 750RPM bolt has to be the sexiest soundin MG I've ever heard. This might sound strange, but it just has an "effective" sound to it. When ya hear it, it just sounds like the job is getting done :-D

I have never fired an AKS74U nor a G3 in a FA configuration. However, I don't think either of them (or the others which I have fired) can compare to the MP5SD that I shot...One of the hardest guns that I have ever had to put down

"This is the AK-47 assault rifle, the preferred weapon of your enemy, and it makes a distinctive sound when fired at you."

If not the AK, the Ma Deuce has my vote.

I keep asking myself why anyone would ask questions like this??

The OP seems to have unlimited access to any number of full-auto firearms in his "collection" based on his prior posts.

He should know better then us which sounds better to him, or us.

FNFAL.
Best shootout was in the 1995 movie Heat.

The big bank robbery shootout scene didn't feature a FAL. The only FAL in that movie was in the beginning and was just used to execute a armored car driver.
