Why doesn't someone make a double stack 380 carry pistol

If I am going to carry a .380, which I do on occasion it is going to be slim and light. The Beretta 85 is the pinnacle. I do have a B-West import, Russian Commercial Mak in .380, which is also satin nickel. It has never failed me, and is very accurate.

The Makarov, for all of it's support, is still an out-of-production gun. It is also large for a .380. I own an IJ-70, a commercial Russian offering from back a while. It is markedly less well manufactured than my E. German Makarov. It's trigger is worse, the "adjustable sights" make the gun harder to conceal, and the overall fit and finish look like it was done in the old High School Shop Class.

To me, the various medium-small .380's work better. Things like the Kahr, the Kimber Micro, the Colt Government Model .380, and others of that size range are easy to shoot, and conceal.

Then again, we all live in America. Other countries, or California may limit calibers that non-military or police may own. In those cases, and they do exist, the .380 isn't enough argument proves pretty futile.

No one even makes a good pocket 380 in my opinion.

Kahr: like 30% reliability issues (pulling that number out of my butt, but it's probably close)
G42: too big
LCP: bad trigger
Sig P238: Don't like safeties. Mine wouldn't eject the last round's brass. The empty would just sit on top of the empty mag.
TCP: bad sights, reliability issues
Pico: super heavy trigger
BG380: super heavy trigger
DB380: reliability issues

I want...
P380 or LCP sized
5lb trigger, short reset, smooth
Real sights
Reliable

:(

JR47: those are excellent points included in your comparison.

The appeal of all-steel (any all-metal) handguns which so far are totally reliable make them very hard to resist.
