Will cheap .22lr ever come back?

Yesterday my local wally world had CCI mini-mag @$7.47/100 and CCi 50rd boxes @ $2.19. It's the 3rd or 4th time I've seen them there in the last few weeks, so it is coming back. I didn't buy any, I have plenty.

Your 22lr will level out in the 8 - 10 cents a round range if we are lucky.
I have to agree with Paul. That's an absurd prediction since that's a average mid-panic, worst-case price to begin with, AND since prices have already fallen to less than half that in the big stores in many parts of the country.

It'll be $16-$20 for a 550 pack just about everywhere by January (just after the holiday rush), no question -- and quite likely will be so sooner as holiday sales hit.

I sure hope so!

By dumb luck I hit some sales on-line and had 25K delivered by the Thanksgiving before Sandy Hook, that combined with the ~25K I had on hand has lasted, although we have started to cut back our shooting to stretch out the supply as this craziness has dragged on. We were shooting ~3K rounds of .22lr per month, normally a bit more this time of year when its not summer and 95+ outside. We should make it to February without too much pain.

I do know that my 10 22 has not even had one hi cap mag in it for a couple of years now. :)

Prices go up fast and down slowly if at all.:)

I do not see the shortage subsiding that much being the guys with 700,000 rounds will still buy all the 22 they see and the guys that don't have that much will try to get 700,000 rds and continue to buy all they see

Yes. Within a few bux of pre-panic prices. Be patient.

It is amazing to watch people look at a mass reaction to a rough patch in time -- a rough patch extending less than a year, in fact, and already diminishing -- and saying, "Well, this is the new normal." Waves come and go. Panics, shortages, wars, recessions, natural disasters, political upheavals, all come and all go.

CHILL.

OUT.
yes Sam you are right but what never changes is human nature: gluttony greed selfeshness backstabbing etc has and will always be with us
