This is either an elaborate hoax, or the real deal.

But unless they can make the gun thinner than a typical .380, it seems pretty pointless. Unless it’s more potent than a .380, in which case the extra capacity is neat.

Or if it could be made thinner than a .380. Or if you could squeeze a dozen plus in a flush P365, or make it a 10+1 thinner version of the micro semi double poly 9 .380 striker guns.

Or if you could make it into a full size duty weapon with extra clip capacity and lessened recoil forces. Seems just the ticket for today’s female police force.

I'm curious if a gun/ammo manufacturer would put out a hoax like this just to see how much excitement or derision there was for the concept. I'd personally be very interested in a small bore cartridge although I might try and hold out for a different gun to buy in on.

I always wanted a .30 Luger (7.65mm X 21mm)

Didnt James Bond use a 32acp PPK?

Here is the ammo:

Hoping it's a straight walled more powerful .30 instead of some bottlenecked .32 NAA type round.

A full size duty pistol in .30 FSC could be really interesting. Very high capacity and mild recoil, and more potent than any .32 ACP.

100gr. .30 is a long bullet for a pistol considering its diameter. Seems like they would be going for high penetration if its going "Super" fast. Tok ammo is usually 85gr. Must be a high velocity magic bullet round that penetrates better than 380 while still having good performance with defensive ammo. Hope its a magnum level HOT super load and not a 32acp+p type.

Cartridge dims:

Straight-walled 21mm long case. Looking like a lengthened out, non-semi-rimmed 7.65 John Moses.

EDIT:

Found the ballistician’s chart for the cart:

Labeled as “8mm Super Carry”. 50K max chamber pushing a 100 grain boolit at 1350. Looks like a plenty heater for social work.

Hmmm.......

When you do the math, the stack height of 16 rounds of double stack 9mm (.392 rim diameter) you only get 18 rds of 30SC assuming a rim diameter of about .348. 16 rounds of 9mm stacks 8.5 time the rim diameter, or 3.332 inches. A 18rd double stack of .348 is 9.5 times the rim diameter or 3.306 inches tall. Not sure all this effort is worth two more rounds in a service size magazine.

It probably isn’t worth the effort for that. However! What if we are looking at width of the double stack magazine as our limiting factor? How many can you stick in a magazine the same width as say... a S&W Shield .45? Is that wide enough to get a double stack of .30 Super Carry?

Or the glock 48

45 ACP has a rim diameter of .480 A double stack of .348 rim diameter is going to be .649 (for reference a double stack of 9mm is .732)

I’m a little confused. Is it a .30 Mauser, .30 Luger, .30 Tok, .32 NAA, clone?
All rounds that have enjoyed massive popularity in the past 50 years.
