Hey everyone,
Since 1911 pistols are so popular i thought about a post a pic of you 1911 or one(s) you like. There one of the top pistols and love them.

I've had this 1911A1 since 1962 when I bought it from the government. It was new in the box and was deliivered to the door by the Mailman. The total cost was $17.

I like Kimbers.:)
I've got a Crimson Trace laser on the center bottom (Ultra Covert) and top right(Tactical Ultra) for concealed carry.

M2 Carbine I hate you.... LOL $17
NRA members could buy one 1911, one 03A3 and 03A4 ($14.50) and one M1 Carbine ($20) a year from the government and I only bought one of each.

M1 Garands cost more, so I didn't buy one.

So cool. Well before my time. Enjoy!

I will be picking up my first 1911 style pistol, A Springfield "Champion Loaded" model in a couple of days---4" barrel, full Govt. size grip in stainless. Of course, will shoot it, but don't know if it will replace my VERY lightweight and slim Kahr P45 as a carry gun. Just another fun toy.

My off duty gun is this Fusion 9mm CCO -

Bought this new 38 years ago this month. Price was $135. The ivory stocks set me back $32.50. Had the K frame S&W sight added because that was cool back then. First gun I ever carried for SD. We have "seen the elephant" a time or two together.

Built this just for fun using a Daly lower and a Colt 22 conversion upper. Works fine. Stocks are fake ivory but there is a real diamond inset below the scrimshawed creature.

Got this in trade from a buddy who wanted something I had. Wasn't really looking for it but once I had it I decided to keep it as an example of a simple 1911. Puts 230 ball ammo dead center at 25 yards.

I really like the 38 Super and have a couple of them. This is my favorite.

Here's an ivory stocked Gold Cup in an El Paso Saddlery rig. You can tell that I like ivory.

Carried this one for about 10 years, and a couple of others before it. Still have this one, but it only comes out to play once or twice a month now.

When I used to carry a 1911, this was it.
I built this LW Commander in 1975 and have added a few items as the years have gone by.

Partial to these. Jim Garthwaite built the 9x23/38 Super/9mm.

I later made one in his shop - in 45 ACP

All lightweight Commanders.

I swap out three different 1911's

depending on how I feel or what I am wearing. This is the one I carry most often. I carry all day every day from the time I put my pants on til the time they come off. Even then there is always one within reach. It is a Kimber Tac pro II. It has a 4" barrel, lightweight frame and, night sights.

Here is wearing its Milt Sparks VM-II.

Here it is with two spare mags in an HE leather double mag pouch.

Ninety oercent of the time that is the gun you will find me carrying along with the two spare mags, Kershaw Blur or Leek. If I need something a bit more concealable it will be my Kimber Ultra with the same accessories.

Here is my Eclipse pro II that I like to wear when I want to dress up a little even though no one sees it.
