Your Monster Hunter International four-gun set?

I dislike carbines and autos for the most part. So, I guess a good 1911 and a pump shotgun, and a double barrel that's been cut down. Slugs count, correct?

Smith & Wesson M&P 45
Thompson with a 50 round drum
I don't know enough about .308 to choose
Mossburg 500.

Great series by the way. I just picked up the third book as soon as I finish the Hard Magic book.

45 ACP Pistol: S&W Model 29. Great for silver bullets filled with wood.

45 ACP Carbine: None. Get a FAL.

Rifle: FAL in 7.62x51mm, not 308 Winchester. 18" barrel, Trijicon ACOG 3.5x35mm, top rail, Aimpoint Micro T-1 offset, Vortex flashhider

Shotgun: Nah. Get another FAL.

Springfield Armory Mil Spec 1911 Stainless Steel

Remington 870 (with wooden stake bayonet)

M-14, H&K or FAL for the .308 rifle

MAC-10 SMG (I figure if there are multiple creatures that close to me, it's time to spray the room and try to get to safety.)

I know we had to pick weapons as described BUT an AK would be priority weapon platform for such a crazy scenario.

Well if were going monster hunting with those 4 calibers. Mount me a Dillon Aero Mini gun to the roof of my Bronco, I'll strap on one of my 1911s prolly my Les Baer or SA loaded I'm leaning toward the SA it has trijicons and crimson trace grips. I want a good old Guide Lamp Co. grease gun slung around my neck and a M2 Benelli in a cruiser rack hooked to the dash.
God this sounds like fun.

You could load any variation of .45 bullets, even GAP.

I'm as big a 9mm fan as anyone, its what I carry, but when your standing at the gates of hell with unspeakable horror from beyond staring you in the face with the intent of unmentionable indignities I can see the point of maybe having more gun.

But, just maybe. :p

Yes the 29 is a 44. I thought about 45 auto rim, but more power is better in this case. I would roll my own. The M25 would be compatible with those bullets but may not be in the optimal form. I would want hardcast SWC flatpoints for better thump.

CZ97BD (My love for CZ's is well-known)

Shorty FN-FAL

Mossberg 500

Something in an Officer-sized 1911 as a BUG, just in case.

One charater in the second book had a SIG P229 in I'm guessing .40 S&W so I would be set with my XD40 but I would like a SIG P220 SAO

1. XD40 or P220 SAO with a subcompact model of the same gun as a BUG.
2. Remington 1100
3. Full auto AR 15 clone in .45 ACP
4. PTR91 in .308

I will play.

1. .45 ACP pistol
For this I will carry three pistols on me (not as crazy as it sounds if you've already decided you carry a pistol). I think it might be quicker to draw another pistol if 1st is empth or has a malfunction. I will go with a Glock 21 (reliable and high capacity) and two Glock 30s.

2. .45 ACP SMG or carbine
I'm sure H&K must make something in 45 ACP like their MP5.

3. .308 rifle
M1A
Ruger Scout

4. 12 gauge shotgun
several Mossberg 590 (prefer the safety location) with various barrel lengths

Springfield Armory Mil Spec 1911 Stainless Steel

Remington 870 (with wooden stake bayonet)

M-14, H&K or FAL for the .308 rifle

MAC-10 SMG (I figure if there are multiple creatures that close to me, it's time to spray the room and try to get to safety.)

I know we had to pick weapons as described BUT an AK would be priority weapon platform for such a crazy scenario.
LOL. The wooden bayonet is an awesome idea.

1 - 1911. I'm not too picky about the styling or the brand, so long as it is 100% reliable.
2- Mac 10 or 11 machine pistol, with a Lage upper, and if possible a couple barrels and stock assemblies.
3 - FAL. maybe a long barrel, standard one and a shorter Para Carbine.
4 - Kel Tec KSG.

Cheating:
1- The Feds carry 10mm. Puff bounties pay alot. Shouldn't be to hard to find someone in the MCB who is willing to part with 100rds of ammo at $100 per bullet. I'd use them in a Glock 29, and maybe have a shortbarreled AR chambered in it.
2 - Dorris probably doesn't regular loads in her .44 magnum.
3 - If they buy just the bullets, fantastic, if not, I'd find a way to remove the bullet from a couple dozen rounds of .308, and reload them in 7.62x25 for a TT33 to use as an extra backup gun, and maybe find a PPSH or other submachinegun to load up with it. Its also likely to find its way into some 7.62x39 for an AK, and a Draco pistol.

Two eight shot SW model 627's.
My custom 870 with two crossed bandoleers of slugs and buck.
Two Cold Steel Bushman's for up close and personal.
A silver cross on a chain so big it should be in a rap video.

Hrrm. Aside from the class3, I'll go with things I actually own:

XD45c
Thompson m28 with 100rd FBI drums
Saiga .308
Saiga 12

I do tend to agree with the 10mm love though, so. . . Witness Match with 18 round mags? :)

Lotsa good picks already.

Since 45 cal bullets are available, make my carbine a 450 Bushmaster. I'll make do with the light 230 grain bullets. ;)

So:
1) Glock 21SF
2) 16" AR carbine in 450 Bushmaster
3) FN-FAL
4) Pistol grip 870 w/ mag extension

I'll go with concealed/trunk guns and loaded for bear. Zombie bear.

Concealed:
Pistol: G30 and G21 combo
SMG: KRISS Vector
Rifle: G3
Shotgun: 870 police

All Up:
Pistol: G21(s)
SMG: KRISS Vector
Rifle: H&K 21 (with original belt/magazine feed) They still hate me
Shotgun: 1187 police

The G30, G21 and the Vector can share magazines as can the G3 and the H&K 21. The 870 and 1187 can of course share ammo. H&K 21 can also feed from belts.

Revised mine slightly...

Everyday and/or concealed carry

1. Kahr P45 (black, night sights, belt holster) and Kahr PM45 (same options, ankle holster), 7-round TP-45 mags for reloads. Small guns, but I have small hands
2. MAC 10 SMG
3. Serbu Super Shorty 12 gauge
4. Springfield Armory SOCOM 16 (in the trunk of the car)

And when SHTF

1. S&W M&P45 with the Kahr PM45 for backup
2. H&K UMP SMG
3. Mossberg 590A1 12 gauge with bayonet
4. FN SCAR-H CQC (or FN MINIMI 7.62 T.R. Sliding Butt when you need solutions that come in belts, not magazines)

Or if feeling very old school

1. S&W M1917 revolver
2. M3A1 Grease Gun
3. Winchester M1897 Trench Gun
4. Indian Ishapore Lee Enfield 2-A1 (or a Bren L4A1 in 7.62 NATO)

I do wish that Kel Tec made a .45 caliber version of their SUB-2000 carbine, that would make a great EDC/concealed carbine option.

1. Two Para-Ordnance P14's in a double shoulder holster rig
2. Two sawed-off 12ga o/u's in a crossdraw belt rig
3. An HK UMP (it's a love/hate relationship)
4. DPMS SASS in .308

1. A full size custom Colt .45 auto
2. A concealed Colt .45 auto
3. Remington 870 with a 20 inch barrel, rifle sights and an 8 round magazine. (never found a semi auto that I really liked)

as for the weapon firing .308 diameter bullets?

4. 1918 B.A.R. beacuse if I feel the need to use a 'sub gun' I want one that will cut through a 34 Dodge sedan and keep going.

(Honorable mention for the 45 cal Uzi, but my limited experience is only with the 9mm and 22 cal full auto versions)

All arms marked with the glyphs of accuracy, protection and whoop-ass from "Hard Magic."

That's one of the Feds, who don't have the limited (albeit large) budget that MHI has.

I'd love to see someone in the books (Milo perhaps, since he's an AR guy and seems the type to adopt new cartridges) using an AR15 in .300BLK in some of the future books.

And it still bothers me that Sam carried a .45-70 lever gun, which was presumably loaded with the bullets MHI ordered for their .45 pistols. I don't reload, but isn't .452 vs .458 diameter enough to cause issues? Unless it was just hard-cast lead and he depended on his pistol (P220, IIRC) for everything that took silver to kill.

Glock 30
Glock 21 w/ Trijicon RMR
POF P308 PDW w/ Aimpoint Micro T1

I'll trade in the SMG & shotgun for a top of the line .308 can. ;)
