The S&W 469...a quick rundown of a cool little 1980s pistol

Great review, thanks! And about Delrin plastic, it is so slippery it is what some companies used as the plastic rollers inside the old cassette tapes.....in an attempt to be as frictionless as possible. Makes you wonder why S&W would use the stuff. 9 fingers

    RIA Baby Rock - KUDOS

I tried to get one before my last NJ permit expired but they sold out so fast at the places I was watching and I kept missing out. Just as well....spent to much for Christmas anyway. Will get one next year. Good luck with yours. 9 fingers

    Beretta Model 100 32acp

Very nice! That will be fun. I have a 70s in .380 and that series were excellent guns. I also have a CZ70 and an Astra Constable in .32.........all good! For what it is worth, my Beretta poster of 70 series indicates that the 100 was made only in 1969 thru 1971. 9 +1 capacity, 5.9" barrel, 1 in...

I like your gun but I think the grips are ugly. I have a Heritage and it is excellent. 9 fingers

    Oil em up.....

I use what Dan Wesson tells me to use. But oils are used for different things, some for lubrication and some for preservation. Some great tests on the web that cover these subjects completely. 9 fingers

    22lr pistol advice sought

Same here, Ruger Mk II or Buckmark, and they are on sale at CDNN sports right now. Good choice on the CZ75b as your first pistol. My first were the Mk II, a Browning Challenger (Belgian) and then the CZ 75b......I started with 22lr and moved up. Pic of my Mk2 before I sold it. Still have the...

Who carries CZ in Central New York?

Suggestion for you. Ask your local gun shop, or maybe a Gander Mountain, if you have one near, when the CZ rep is going to be visiting next. He will have samples for you to handle. The store can arrange this for you if they choose to. BTW, love my 75b...one of the best. 9 fingers

    Should I buy an R51?

Remington will send a shipping package to you that takes care of the overnight shipping costs if you need a warranty repair. I think you should go for it. I went with the Walther PPSM2 but if you like the alternative design of the R51 then give it a try. Best of luck. 9 fingers

    The SIG-Sauer P230SL: a quick overview

Great post and pics and I agree totally. I found mine last year at a shop up in NY state, almost new condition, case, manual and an extra mag, which is good as they are rather scarce. An excellent .380 and one of my favorites. 9 fingers

    Chainsaw Chain And Sprocket Lube

I totally agree with WC125. But I like the one about the dog not lubricant. "Considering the vast array of gun specific lubricants on the market, never mind good ol' milspec gun oil and grease, why on earth would you even consider using something like chainsaw oil? It's not like lubricating...

    7.62x25 Tokarev

I have a Polish Radom made Tok, arsenal refinished and around $220 if I recall. The barrel was excellent, as was the refinish. It is a blast to shoot.......I think PPU ammo claims something like 1700 or 1800 fps, but I may be wrong on that. I am a CZ fan with maybe 17 pistols and rifles, and my...

    Bought my FIRST PLASTIC GUN!

It pained me but I finally bought a plastic gun. Went for a Walther PPS M2 in 9mm.....I am calling it my Hillary gun since handguns may be more difficult to get after she is elected. My normal favorites are my CZ 75B glossy, Dan Wesson Heritage 1911 and a whole bunch of .380s I like, Mauser...

    Cz usa 1911a1?

The CZ 1911 is made in the DW factory in Norwich, NY and are very well made, better than the typical Ruger/Remington offerings in this price range. CZ is known for making small batches of specialty guns now and then and will likely make more of these down the road. 9 fingers
