i'm always overwhelmed by stories about the sacrifices made by our fighting men and women. I'd like to thank you otrman and those that flew with you. I'll never understand why perverts like michael jackson get all the press while genuine heroes get ignored in this country. It ain't right. Anyway thanks again.
BIG 1+. Our soliders keep us safe, and they get no credit for it.

Good call, I was not in the military, but I deal with the after math that veterans go through everyday with familiy and friends. The sacrifices made by them most people will never have a clue, and what they deal with on a day to day after words. Yet idiots like MJ get all the press because they are a bunch of wierdo's.

Hornady sells a thing that allows you to do just that, they clamp onto the calipers, and holts your ammo correctly.

There is a guy over at RFC that makes his own and sells them for about $20.00, or if you know a machinest you can have one made fairly cheap.

After you check the rim you put all of the ones with the same rim thickness together, and then weigh them and put all of those together, you now have super match ammo developed out of bulk ammo. If you do it with match ammo you have super duper match ammo.:D

Here is a picture of my home made rim gage.

very good pics clint. of course i cant speak for the match director, but i like big pics.

i think when they start getting too big is when you have to scroll around to see the entire thing.

i dont really like them when they make that horizontal scroll bar appear at the bottom of the page.

(by the way, im scared of spiderman because when hes alone, i think he eats flies)

lol, ya, i will be happy if i can just finish in the top 3!!! but i doubt a 42 will keep me on the board.

im planning to try to better my score this weekend. maybe some better ammo and down and left a couple of clicks.

oh no you dint!!!!

its on like donkey kong now!!!!!!

i will sick my bud ortman on you with his super 1022!!!!!

(in fun of course)

lol, yes he did, and i went back and checked his score from last month, and i think he is using the "super duper match ammo"

in light of this, i would like to file a formal complaint,,,,,,,,,,,

i, flyinbryan, hereby complain, that i think he can outshoot me, and thus should be removed from this tournament immediately.

This is being taken into consideration, I will have to discuss it with the rest of my [strike]minions[/strike] contestents...

Maybe Clint, P51D & myself, out of the goodness of our hearts, should shoot this as a charity match with our scores donated to flyinbryan, so he can remain ichiban until someone who didn't shoot last month comes along in the next 3 weeks & kicks him to the curb :D:D:D.

I agree. I'll see if i can be that person. :D (IF i can find ammo)

it looks like i will have to break out my secret weapon.

i will post a pic of it tonight as soon as my son gets home (camera is in his truck.)

Juk I use to have one of those CZ 452 Trainers. They are a great rifle. Wish I still had mine and glad to see one in the competition.

I really hate complaining. With that said, I'll go ahead and start. I can deal with the bench that is lopsided and way to low, I can deal with the bags that don't hold shape, I can even deal with the 18,000 b52 mosquitoes gnawing on me. But, for the life of me, I can't deal with that stupid scope. At 50 yards, It hits 1" right. 8 clicks of the horizontal adjustment (either way....i tried both) resulted in exactly zero changes. I shot that target with my best guess formula. "that looks about right....pop" To add to that, I changed the magnification from 6 to 9 and the scope walked off even further. At 9x ( as opposed to 6x) the rifle shot 1" right and 1" ABOVE point of aim.

On the other hand, I was still fairly pleased with the outcome. The mosquitoes carried off with my screwdriver, so I was couldn't shoot with the irons.

All in all, it was a good day. I managed to shoot some of my hunting handloads (hunting for the best group) and had the pleasure of shooting a 22 mag for the first time. Beats a day at work any way you cut it. :)

The trainer is very accurate. I could do 1" groups at 100 yards with mine, iron sights. Wind will push a .22lr at 50 yards more than people think, so watch that. It does sound like a scope problem though.

i went to the south cmp store to get my garands they had some little bolt action 22 trainers. i wonder now if they were cz's?

I think my nephew had 2 of those trainers. The stocks were used up pretty good. He refinished both of them and gave one to his brother. They came out pretty damn good and I've heard that they shoot pretty damn good too.
