I know that all of us have a list of stupid things that we have done. Let's come clean and have a few laughs. I could write a book on this subject.
We were on our way to a farm 60 miles from home to hunt turkeys. We had driven my truck the previous afternoon to scout and possibly roost some birds. The next morning my buddy, Skivey, offered to drive his truck. Half way there it dawned on me that I might have left my shotgun in my truck. Sure enough. When we got to the farm I was gunless. No big deal. Skivey, had never killed a bird so I would call for him. No Luck.
On our way home Skivey offered to buy me breakfast at a fine restaurant that was known for really good food. When we arrived he discovered that he had left his wallet at his home. We had driven 60 miles, me with no gun and him without a non-resident hunting license, driver's license, ID of any kind and no money. I had to buy breakfast and drive home.
