Started out shooting and reloading 38 special rounds in the mid 60's! (Lyman hand press, looked like an oversized pair of pliers, dies screwed in at the top!)An old bulls eye shooter gave me a Dixie cup of bulls eye powder and a lee dipper. And that's how it all started. Yrs. passed and my loads HAD to match, or better factory loads ( ruined a few damn fine guns with that train of thought)Now almost 50 yrs. later it's back to fun loads in 38 cases.
Should tomarrow go right, I loaded up some new loads to run across the clocks. HS-6 with mag primers and greendot that I've never tried before. Both loads are pushing Extreme 158 plated bullets. Got this old Smith Model 14 w/6inch tube, ya gotta shoot it to believe it! There's a lot of talk about which gun you would keep if it came down to owning only one, at one time it would have to be the 629 loaded with 2400 a half grain below the cases sticking in the cylinder. Now that 14 would be the one to stay.
