I agree with everybody to a point. You have to stand up for yourself. If not they will never respect you ,cowards get zero respect. Now before I get torched "coward" is how the bullies see you. If at all possible track one of them down, and hurt him,go for the knee. Don't use the top of your foot,too many little bones to break,use you shin or stomp. The world is cruel and unforgiving, if you truly fear for your/loved ones life. Than show no mercy. 9 men against 1 not fair even it up. Some 1/4" galvenized cable duct tape and a couple of 1/2" hex nuts can adjust an attitude pretty quickly.

When I was in middle school fighting was my only option. To this day I really don't feel bad for hurting any of those punks. Some people can be reasoned with, others need to be put on their back,fast and hard.

Now, I am afraid I have no alternative but to show some Winston Churchill style balls in the face of this obvious crap. I don't want a fight, but the fight is coming to me, and I will act. I am not interested in fighting, but a man has to be stand up and be counted for what he believes I believe. I am not interested in any heroics and I AM mature. Winston was an adult after all! He was not a child, like the group I am now facing (let's just say they backed hitler during the war, and he still admired here).

What gun would be best for intimidation purposes and to fire a shot that would not hurt anyone? I do not want to spend time in jail, not in this country, defending values they don't understand! The courts would obviously go against me if I seriously hurt someone. What do you people suggest?

Goofiest post I've read in months! If you really want to assert your manhood, my suggestion would be to forget about what Winston would do and start in the bedroom. Only a goofball would consider doing something like firing in the air in order to frighten the bad guys off - ESPECIALLY IN A FOREIGN COUNTRY!

Now, I don't want to offend you; but, quite frankly, you sound, 'pussywhipped'. Go home; go back where you belong; and if the little woman doesn't want to return with you, then, leave her there. It's her way of life - not yours! If she loves it more than she cares for you, then, the two of you don't belong together.

You should, also, do more reading about Winston Churchill. He spent several years living in exile near my home; and, if you knew his personal history better, you'd know that he was far more peevish, unprincipled, and temperamental than the resolute tough guy you imagine him to be.

I'm assuming the local police are of no help (maybe even part of the family?)

They are more than willing to seriously injure or kill you and your wife.

The wife's family isn't of much help either.

I see two basic choices here:

1) Seriously injure or kill all of them, and their families. Be prepared to continue to do this for the rest of your life 'cause with a group that large you'll never get them all.

Of note: Any time there are greater numbers, you have that many more that can swap off time and effort and resources on you. There is only one of you and how much time and resources do you have to dedicate to this? You have a job to go to right?? It takes a wise man to make a strategic retreat.
