Not to be rude, but your friend needs to grow up get her head out of her a--. She is being STALKED BY A FREAK. No cops? No gun? No dog? No plan? What the !@@##$%^*(*^ is she expecting to resolve this threat for her, a lightening bolt from heaven? Oh, I get it, she'll just keep calling you over every night and wasting your time.
Man, let me tell you something, the best thing you can do for her is give her the hard facts of life about personal responsibility. Those facts are:
1. if you are being stalked, call the police, make a report, get a restraining order.
2. Buy a gun. learn to use it -- PROFICIENTLY. Get a CCW.
yeah, i know she is in cali. in the vast majority of counties, she can get one for this kind of thing. I have one and I live in a county that packing.org lists as "nearly impossible" to get a permit.
3. Have an alarm installed.
4. Take a photo of the guy, give one to each neighbor, explain the situation. ask the neighbors to notify you if they see him so you can notify the police that he has violated the restraining order.
5. STAY PROFICIENT WITH THE GUN.
6. Upgrade her locks.
If she is not willing to DO ANYTHING and just wants to call you and tell you how scared she is but how she doesn't want to do anything, what the hell use is that? If that is all she will do, it sounds to me like the stalker knows his game very well and has picked a good victim for himself -- someone who is psychologically helpless and ready to be raped, and murdered.
