Nightwolfe,
If it wasn't for "stupid tourists" there would be no Orlando. It would still be a swamp in the middle of nowhere.
Did I ever feel a need for my CCW while in the park. No, but one never knows. However, you encourage me to use public transport to get to the parks. You bet your bottom dollar that I see a need to carry in those circumstances.
Remember just after Florida enacted a CCW? If I remember correctly, "stupid tourists" were being targeted by criminals specifically due to the fact that the bad guys didn't want to tangle with armed Floridians, but saw unarmed "stupid tourists" as an easy mark. As a result, Florida did two things: 1) made it illegal for rental car companies to mark their cars, and 2) enacted non-resident CCW.
Now, as a "stupid tourist" who uses public transportation, and who spends large amounts of my hard earned cash in your state, I am very happy that I am allowed to carry.
