1990 Acura Integra

It runs like a top, gets great gas mileage, and I bought it for $1,000.

In all fairness to the stereotype, though, I did have a pickup when I lived in the hick town that I'm from. My dad owns guns and a pickup, too.

2006 Dodge 3/4 ton Turbo Diesel 4X4..... Since I got the truck, I've started thinking about buying a gun or two.

the back an 1989 the front a 1991 with the original junk yard tag on the front fender im going to classify it as a truck just for the rust of an arizona truck
---although what do i know im 4 tallboys down and many more to go im pretty drunk as a skunk
and Kan dont but a boston acoustic G5 sub in that toyota ive done so for a customer the whole thing rattles to all hell doesnt matter if you dynomate the whole truck its still horrible

Got a '96 Bronco now. Had a '79 a while ago.

Do Broncos count? Their shells come off- their coolest feature:D

man i love Broncos. they never made a fullsize 2wd, so you know its a mans truck. oh and sorry to tell you, but you cant take the top off of newer models. i think its from 90-96 but im not sure.

What! The top doesn't come off:confused:

Just got it a few months ago. I thought all the full-size ones had that. Grrrrrr...

nope. sorry to break it to ya man. most of the full sized had the removable top. i forget exactly what year they stopped that though. im thinkin 90. but i know for sure 94-96s dont come off. not without a sawzall at least.

on a sidenote, anyone remember the Ford Bronco Centurion? my dad one. it was the 1 ton with the 7.3 diesel. i think it was a 91. man i loved that thing, of course he sold it to get a 95 F350 4 door longbed. he even regrets it to this day. looked like this one but it was black and didnt have a lift.

Never owned a truck. The biggest vehicle I have ever owned was a 65 Pontiac Catalina Station Wagon.

Currently own and drive a 85 Chevy Caprice Classic 4 door.

Stereotypes usually have some basis in fact. I've owned pickup trucks, either as primary or secondary vehicles, for 25 years. My current one is a 2005 Toyota Tacoma.

It is no accident that the parking spaces in the Cabela's store parking lot are sized extra large. ;)

When going to Cabelas, I leave my big truck at home unless I'm buying something huge like a gun safe, because it costs $35 in gas round trip.

Instead, I bring my beater car, a 2001 Hyundai Accent, and I park it as far back in the huge parking space as I can. You see, that lot is so full of huge trucks every day that I'm afraid somebody is going to swing into my parking space and rear end my car!

I think the "have you EVER owned..." skews the sample a bit. If only 20% of gun owners own pickups at any given time, but people have owned an average of 5 vehicles in their life, then your "own or have ever owned" percentage is going to be way higher than 20%.

Gotta have a truck

If you don't have a truck where to you put the...

dead deer/elk/boar/bear/etc, decoys, dog box, wet waders, portable clays thrower, box of clays, tree stand, 4 wheeler, target stands, hog trap, coolers, fishing gear etc, etc, etc....

Looks like, as the votes have been coming in, the stereotype holds pretty well at a little over 60%.

I guess we're also racist, sexist, paranoid gay-bashers, too. ;)
