We know women are genetically incapable of recognizing the differences between one firearm and another, the things that men appreciate and compel us to buy different ones. So how is it they always know when we're bringing a new gun into the house and make us pay for it all over again!?
What's your best shooting-sports "I gotta hide this purchase from my wife/significant other/family" story?
I've hidden a flat of 12 ga. shells from Walmart that I put my coat over but that my girlfriend caught as I loaded all her stuff from on top of it into the trunk. She just knew I couldn't possibly need any more ammo no matter how good a price it was. I had a friend who BEGGED me to hide his new blemished Pedersoli Trade Musket because his wife would go through his truck when he came home -- guess I shouldn't have called him as a manager from Cabella's and told him we were going to sue him for an additional $200 because there was a mistake on the price tag. I had another friend who was going to sneak his new high-end 20/28 ga. shotgun combo into the house piece by piece -- guess I shouldn't have had a colleague call him earlier as if from the Beretta Showroom, who never actually called him back, and tell him he failed the credit check so he'd have to choose a lesser model than he ordered (he shopped elsewhere eventually).
So, let's hear your stories...
