One of these days, I'm going to buy a 20 gauge double barrel and jump through the gummint hoops to get it cut down into one like Mel Gibson used in the Mad Max movies.

ps Recently heard a rumor that another movie is in production for that series, but w/o Gibson.

Fav's I would like to own...

Steve McQueens' sawed off lever action carbine in "Wanted: Dead or Alive"

Richard Boones' SAA 45 ( and rig ) in "Have Gun, Will Travel"

Vic Morrows' Thompson 45 in series "Combat" ( did French carry the BAR ? )

Arnolds' lever action shotgun in "Terminator II "

Clints' double brace of Walkers from "Outlaw Josey Wales"

Ed Burns' BAR in "Saving Private Ryan" ( Got a SA M1 Garand from 1944 )

Basically any WWI / WWII weapons like P-08 Lugers, Mauser BroomHandles, etc...

Got a pre-WWII FN Hi-Power from 1st year ( 1935 ) and a P-38 from 1938 ( Walther cyq Spreewerk serial# 2xx )

and I'm always adding on to my CAR M4...red dot, 4x scope, flashlite, laser

Man From U.N.C.L.E.

I gotta second Dr.Rob on this. I've always wanted one of those cool P38s with all the attachments:
Shoulder Stock
Telescopic Sight
Barrel Extension
Silencer (with or without the extension)
and of course... those neat bullets that just anesthetize the target but don't kill or wound! :D

My favorite Reel guns

Palladin- matched pair of Colt SAA 45's (7 1/2 in) in a black buscadero rig. I met Richard Boone in Florida a number of years ago and he told me he still had the complete set used in the show.

As an FYI, an earlier post about the NRA museum talked about having the original S&W 29 that Clint Eastwood carried in Dirty Harry- That is actually a .44 from a follow on movie, John Milius still has the first one (he actually wrote part of the script specifing the Model 29 and loaned it to Eastwood).

OK, I'll bite. I really like the FN P90 that the guys in Stargate carry around. The little 5.7x28 mm armor piercing round that it fires is sweet!

Miami Vice!
I still have VHS tapes of it. I've never seen an actual Bren Ten but from the show, I got interested in 10MM. A few months ago at a gun show, I broke down and bought a Glock 20.

I've always been a Clint Eastwood fan--Dirty Harry is the man! Although I don't own the S&W. I got a great deal on a Ruger Super Red Hawk.

Miami Vice

I'm not sure how long the series ran, but I do remember Crockett switched weapons...from the Bren Ten to the new ( at the time ) S&W 645 in 45acp. I remember this because I have a VHS tape with the Smith clearly visible. I later bought the same gun, and still have it today.

Hard Target....

HORRIBLE MOVIE....but some cool weaponry...

first off...let me say I have never seen a modified SVD fire FA before that movie.

Lance Henricksen has a Contender that actually drove me to get one. I figured that, shooting a dang 45-70 out of somthing like that MIGHT make plastic barrels blow up like that....unfortunately I was wrong. :) lol

OK, I'll play too but I need some help.....

What was that bolt action rifle the soldier had up in the city bell tower in Kelly's Heros?

For real guns, I'd hafta say I'm partial to the .475 Wildey used in Death Wish 3, but REALLY like Sam Elliot's Grizzly .45 mag in Shakedown. I wanted one before that movie ever came out and couldn't afford it. Watching the movie didn't help. :(

For pure fiction, though, I prefer the interstellar exterminators' guns in Critters. Now THOSE would be FUN!

James Caan's J-frame in "The Way of the Gun". Not really up there on the cool factor I admit, but I'm a big snubby fan. And I swear that I saw him actually reload during the final fire fight. :D

The Thompson...I don't care if it's the civillian version from any of the old gangster movies or the military M1 - of course I gotta go semi but man I want one!

Castor Troy's Springfields in Face/Off. I also thought it was the only decent John Woo American film. You see, the gold plating on the gun makes it shoot better ;) . It did look neat though.

Trigun

Okay, I've got one from the anime series Trigun. Vash the Stampede's .45 long colt custom. Just got to watching it again and realized the pistol looked kinda familiar. I'm trying to track down what gun it might have been based on. I was thinking it was a Medusa, but Standing Wolf says it may be a Mateba. After a little bit of research, I think he's right, though I can't find the exact model I'm looking for.

I'm going to have to say I've been influenced by Gunsmith Cats as well.
It's made me a fan of the CZ-75, the Colt .25 auto pistol, and several others.
Doubt I'll ever see an original CZ-75 though. =(

The gun that accepted voice commands to load different types of rounds carried by Stallone in "Judge Dredd" - the ultimate in Smart Gun technology to make the gun control folks happy.

Kinda embarrassed to admit it after seeing some of the "fancy" grade firearms mentioned in this thread, but Denzel Washington's Glock 17 in "Man on Fire" definitely helped me decide to purchase a G17 a week ago.

Oh yea, Cslinger, you have too choices.
Get an airsoft replica...
Or grab a Thompson and a Remmy 870 and convert them into an M41A1 just the like the movie makers did. =)
