The .38 ACP Webley Fosberry. Always wanted one for coolness factor. I'd even settle for the .455 Eley version.

Where was that? My recollection is that Peter Lorre pulls a Colt 1925 .25acp on Humphrey Bogart about a third of the way through the movie.

waktasz,

Where'd you get that? I was about to post Equilibrium. I was going to get my buddy to mill me some of those shrouds for airsoft Berettas.

Edit: Found the thread. At £350, I still might get my buddy to mill me some parts.

I was always impressed with the .44 cal Auto Mag Clint Eastwood used in Sudden Impact from about 20 years ago . Always wanted one , still do .

I'll play!

Real guns:

Whatever kind of howitzer they have pointed at the stargate in Stargate SG-1

"Ma Deuce" .50 caliber from We Were Soldiers

Fakey space guns:

Ga'ould staff weapon from Stargate SG-1

ZAT from Stargate

Blaster from Star Wars

Phaser from Star Trek

And an X-Wing and TIE fighter from Star Wars. :D

IIRC, that 21 Jump Street (never watched 21JS) spinoff Booker prompted me to get my Taurus PT99AF/nickle.

From original post:
...influenced my selection of firearms in my collection.

It is said the reason I rec'd a lever action cap gun for my fifth B-day was due to all the Lever-Actions folks had in the gun racks of pick up trucks...granted it did allow me to help shoot the BGs on TV , somebody had to watch Hopalong Cassidy , The Lone Ranger and The Riflemans's back. :D

I shot my first 1911 at age 6 and later a K frame, Lever Actions , Model 70's , Model 12s and such. I've stayed with the same basic platforms from the get- go. I was the kid that went " hey neat, THEY are shooting a gun like mine". Okay - I still say that and I'm older.

Still it was neat to see the guys in the TV show "Combat" use a Pistol like I had shot and was getting to shoot. ;)

"Honey - why did you buy this VHS movie "The Way Of The Gun" - the plot sucks"

Because the guys are using 1911 styles and some really neat gun handling"

"Cool, start the movie and I'll make popcorn".

:D

I gotta say definately the Walther PPK. The M1 Garand, but for a different reason than most people. Any gun that can hit a scuba tank in the mouth of a giant shark who's swimming right at you on a sinking boat gets my vote! :D

I own A Ruger Vaquero and a Winchester levergun because I have always been a big fan of good quality western movies...from Clint Eastwood Eyetalian made flix, all the way up to Kevin Costner's Open Range.

They say "nothing beats the original"...and Dirty Harry's original S&W model 29 with the 6" barrel is one wheel gun I plan to get before I die.....

.....Although I'd settle for one with a 4" barrel..ala Elmer Keith...even though Elmer was never in a movie, I liked his taste in shoot'in irons.....

I think my favorites are:

S&W Model 29 .44 Magnum - Dirty Harry's of course
Short barreled pistol grip lever action shotgun used by Arnold in Terminator 2. Hey we are talking movies and TV right?

I admit it, Colt Single Action Armys from all the Cowboy movies.
Recently Taurus 92s, Sig 229s, and a Sig Pro from watching 24.

Several of my collection are indirect movie/tv influenced:
Desert Eagle, Beretta 96FS, Vaquero, Marlin 1894, AR15

My next purchase is going to be a Storm. Related to TV because I'm already fondly thinking of naming it Motoko after the main character in Ghost in the Shell...it just looks like a gun that would be at home in that anime!

As far as some of my favorite movie guns, other than Desert Eagles and Berettas:

The Mini Gun that's been in T2, Predator, Matrix, etc takes top honors. I will see a movie just because it has a mini gun in it!

Beretta 93R, MP5s, the alien smart guns. Also enjoy seeing 'new stuff', G36s, P90s. I also like to see normal guns that don't get alot of screen time, like a Ruger Mark II or a Redhawk for example.

.30cal handheld gattling/chain gun(old painless) carried by Jessie Ventura in the original Predator. Same gun used by Arnold in Terminator 2.

Actually, it was a 5.56mm/.223cal gatling gun with ammo backpack.

Aparently a few real prototypes were infact made, but the 240lb AVERAGE recoil impulse/thrust makes them a, uh, "little" hard to control...

Note that the .30cal version's average recoil is 4 TONS IIRC...

Give me Airwolf, with String, Dom, and Caitlin driving. Chainguns and missiles beats everything. Great theme song too. Wonder if anyone will ever make a helicopter that can break the sound barrier (and stay in one piece)?

Wish they would make a DVD box set of that show soon. Hope they make an Airwolf movie soon too. Would be a whole lot better than Starsky and Hutch! Make more $$$ too.

Hey there is a real Planet of The Apes M-1 Carbine in that case.

Cool.

Favorite movie/TV guns:

BAR... Steve McQeen in the Sandpebbles, Forest Tucker in Sands of Iwo Jima, Cpl. Kirby in Combat, Private Ryan, BoB, etc.

Indiana Jones cut down 1917 SW Triple Lock.

Hunter's P9S

Man From Uncle P-38K

Dirty Harry .44 Automag

Lori Petty's Tank :uhoh:

I liked in T1 when Arnold said ".45 colt long slide, with laser sight". (or something like that) was just cool.

I liked the AMT Hardballer LS before T1 came out and had planned to get one. When the movie did come out I liked it more. When I finally got one (IAI), though, I was greatly disappointed.
