ClemBert, very nice video. Very interesting fire and smoke in the still shots at the end.

Clembert, very nice! At least the load lever only dropped once!

That is my only drawback with the Walker. And I do not have the funds to do a Dragoon .44 as much as I want to do so.

Thanks for the vid. Good job!

    Kudos, sir!

The ol' Walker recoil loading lever anomaly. :cuss: If you look close you can see I slipped on a rubber O-ring after that happened...LOL! It's the easiest way to deal with that problem albeit not a purty elegant solution. The solution is to reshape the loading lever catch with a file. I just never got around to doing it myself. The Walker video was made 7 years ago and I have yet to do the fix...LOL!

Here's a video on it (not meant to be funny, but is).

BTW, many of the Dragoon revolvers have a similar problem with the loading lever dropping at higher charges and I understand that increasing the depth of the lever catch's retaining area or putting a stronger spring behind the loading lever latch is the solution. I seem to recall I had to reshape the catch on my Uberti 1858 for a similar problem so the problem isn't even limited to the Walker or Dragoons.

That looks like a Remington .41 rimfire. Very nice original!

One is an original (not mine) and one is Memorex (mine). Which one?

Certain attributes of originals are not present on Ubertis. The loading cut out under the forcing cone is also sublety different. The Uberti looks to be aged well.

Mike Brackett called yesterday to let me know that I should have this and the 1862 Pocket Navy I sent with it back next weekend. I can hardly wait! He's done others for me before and he promises me that these two are even better. I do believe that!
