The original wood that came on it. Not sure what they use.Nice. What wood is that?
Here are Two of my 1858s' purchased at a Cabela's where they hate BP handguns, they don't even display them anymore. The case hardened with chekcered grips is holstereled, it was 239, the blued one was 199, boring as brick and twice as reliable. Shot it once, decided the pretty one was my girl, and gave the blued one to a hard working friend who was trying to save up for a steel frame, owning and loving a brassy Navy .44 Pietta. But who doesn't want more KABOOM?Bought the same gun from Cabelas this Christmas for $199, they were $250-300.00 on line. Just couldn't pass it up!
Are there mjor differences in the 1860 and 1861?
The flap holster?....I made that one.Michigan Mike, where did you find that holster, that's real nice one. I have an 1858 remington Sheriff's model. It would be a nice combo for my revolver.
Backyard ranges are the best. Nice grouping!2015 Pietta Colt 1860 Army, 30grs Schuetzen FFFG black powder, Wonder Wads, .454 Hornady Ball, Remington #10 caps, 2 hands standing 21 ft - backyard range.
You mean from the ROA board righ? The flap holster?....I made that one.
Send a picture of wht you're thinking."I made that"
No sir, for a 1858 remington Sheriff's model. I could trace it out for you and measures the width\thickness if required.
What would want to make another one? It's really nice. I'd consider myself lucky to have one
