Have you ever used your gun for SD and how many bullets did you use?

Under what circumstances can you display your firearm (presumably when actual lethal force is not yet justified) and not have it considered brandishing?

Sorry, didn't see this til tonight.

It's here:

Texas Penal Code:
§ 9.04. THREATS AS JUSTIFIABLE FORCE. The threat of
force is justified when the use of force is justified by this
chapter. For purposes of this section, a threat to cause death or
serious bodily injury by the production of a weapon or otherwise, as
long as the actor's purpose is limited to creating an apprehension
that he will use deadly force if necessary, does not constitute the
use of deadly force.

If force is justified, you can show the weapon and it not be considered an escalation to DEADLY force.

3 times

two of them no shots fired

the other 3 shots

interestingly enough, I am not a 38 guy but all three times I had a .38 special revolver

Thanks FCFC, tried everything to get him to just leave but he did not want to take the route.

Question, I know this is not the right area but how do I use a quote to reply to someone so that their reply to me is in the same box so folks know who I am talking to?

Do you mean like this? It took me while to figure it out also.

Type brackets like this: [ ] with the word quote inside at the front of you want in the box. Then type another set of brackets [ ] with /quote inside at the end. This works for other stuff like boldface as well. Just remember to put a backslash where you want that function to end.

{quote}This is the original text you want to quote{/quote}

Replace the curly-brackets with square ones and it will look like this:

This is the original text you want to quote

You can get fancier and include the user's nickname as below:

Covered my weapon twice after verbal warnings and that was enough to make sketchy people reconsider. Never had to draw. Hope it stays that way.

Once, a million years ago working midnight security patrol. It wasn't even one of my jobsites, simply stopped in to get a Coke at a stp-and-rob. No shots fired due to innocents in line of fire. BG ran empty handed.

Everything was recorded on surveillance video, including the store clerk freezing stiff while the BG tired to slice his 400lb gut open with a butcher knife while trying to jump over a counter. Her gut got in the way as she was a 19 year old pregnant junkie well known by the cops as this was the third robbery she'd pulled that night.

The BG was a 19 year old pregnant junkie? That's a new one on me! Sad to think what must have become of that baby...

Yeah, had I ended up shooting her I expect I'd be toast were it not for the surveilance cameras, which caught it all.

The clerk later got fired after he was caught giving product away to folks who would keep him company on his shift.

Word I got was her boyfriend/pimp/babydaddy beat her pretty badly and she lost it a few weeks later.
