SShooterZ.... That's a collection to be proud of! My complements

Thank you sir! :)

You have two I've looked at and hemmed and hawed over but have yet to purchase. The Urika 391 and the Wincheste 101. They seem like great guns!

Two.
Both 870's. one 12, one 20 and I'm takin' them out right now for some exercise.:D

Nothing formal. Pasture clays and, I snagged a couple S-10 hoods from work and will be doing some penetration testing...

Three.. a Belgian side by side hammergun in 12G, an Italian Franchi long-recoil operated semi auto and a Spanish .410 poacher's gun (folds in half)....

I never really thought about it, but what a 'European' selection.. must buy a Remmie to represent the other side of the Atlantic!

I currently only have my 1300 youth model, but I want an 870 Marine magnum, an 1300 Defender, and a SPAS 12. So I'm doomed to be poor for the rest of my life because of you guys and your fancy shotguns.:neener:

1 platform, many uses...

...Duham's Sports "Special Hunter" combo...here's the stats

12 guage Mossberg 500; matte finish on receiver w/ black synthetic furniture; parkerized finish on barrels; 5-shot tube; 28" interchangable choke vented rib barrel w/ 2 bead sights; 24" rifled slug barrel w/ cantilever mount; BSA 2.5 X 20 Deerhunter shotgun scope w/ rings; modified choke; choke wrench; buttstock shim set; nylon military style sling

I added a used 24" smoothbore slug barrel w/ basic rifle sights and camo parkerized finish for $35.00; added more chokes: full, improved cylinder, x-full; 1 platform, many uses

Deer/Black Bear hunting: scoped rifled slug barrel & sabot slugs; if gun gets dropped, consider scope out of zero and change to smoothbore slug barrel & Forester style slugs

Small game & Turkey hunting: interchangable choke barrel w/ 4 chokes can cover alot of scenarios; X-full choke covers turkey

Defensive use: smoothbore slug barrel can be loaded with anything; 24" length is less than ideal, yet usable...

a good overall pakage that works for me

Just the one, a Maverick 88 Field in 12 gauge with the original 2(8?)" barrel, what I call "Mister Shottiewuffles" to piss off the grognards 'round her' what get their panties in a wad over words like "shottie".

There there, Mister Wuffles, those mean old men with their more than 200 dollars shotguns and their not made in mexico shotguns and their not sketchily-molded plastic furniture can't hurt you.

:D

Just the one. My Grandad's 870. I shot it before I cleaned it. Got rid of some old paper hulled ammo he had. When I cleaned it, there were some feathers in there! It shot like a champ. I will pass it on to my oldest Son, it should still be going strong.

GunnySkox,

Maverick 88s are made in Texas, not Mexico.

That aside....

I have

H&R single shot .410
Maverick 88 12 gauge with 28" field barrel
Mossberg 500 20 gauge with field barrel and rifled slug barrel (not sure on lengths)

I don't currently have any but used to have a Remington 870 express and loved it. When I do get ready for another shotgun it will definitely be another Remington 870.

H&R single 19" barrel and rifled slug sights
H&R single 28" full choke
Savage 94 single 30" full chike (giift)
Baikal dounle barrel 20" cyl and cyl
Smith and Wesson 916A pump slug gun
Mossberg 500 Bullpup with 'scope sight
Noble model 40 bird bomb junker (pump)
Savage 24 12 ga under .30-30
M6 scout .410 under .22 lr

Dang, they are like dust bunnies under the couch
they just accumulate.

/*what I call "Mister Shottiewuffles" to piss off the grognards 'round her' what get their panties in a wad over words like "shottie".*/

...that would be me. It's a cultural thing, I guess. I never heard anyone who hunts or is serious about shotgun sports use the term "shottie". From what I see it is used mostly on Internet forums.

I could just picture the guys in the duckblind edging away from me if I called my shotgun a "shottie". Sort of like using saying "I have to go out back of the blind to take a pee pee", or "Stop the pickup next shelterbelt, I have to go tinkly." It just doesn't sound very manly, at least to we "grognards" here in the sticks.

Come to think of it, I never heard an adult use "grognard" either. Must be an age thing.
