Currently a stock Remington 870 Express with the 28" barrel.

I'm thinking about getting a shorter barrel to make it more maneuverable, but part of me wants to save the money for a GP101. Since I'm fairly low income (<$500 disposable income a month -I'm a college student) it is difficult to decide, as it would take me an extra month or so to save up the money.

Also, word of advice: Never drop that gun on your bare feet! Especially if the vent rib is facing down! The serrations on that sucker sucker are sharp. I've now got a pattern of the vent rib cut (yes, CUT) into three of my toes. :(

I don't believe in violence. You should all follow my example and sell your firearms. Better yet, donate them to me.

-Mossberg 500 12 ga

-Sig P229 (.40 S&W)

-Ruger P90 (.45 ACP)

-HK P2000SK (9x19)

-Taurus 605 (.357 mag)

The shotgun goes under the bed. The Sig goes under the pillow or in the nightstand and the Ruger stays in the drawer by the door.

Either the Taurus 605 or the HK P2000SK stays in the bathroom and the other one is in the kitchen until I go out somewhere and then I take one with me.

Folks have asked, so here it is.

Topper® Junior 20 Gauge (SB1-258)

It was supposed to be: Topper® Junior Classic 20 Gauge (SB1-288).

Supplier goofed, their fault , and my gunsmith buddy and I/we said to not worry about it and I/we kept the black one.
Best recall he ordered eight for us that time.
Supplier really apologized and worked with us, not worth the shipping and a hassles.
So that is the gun I have shared about, using for everything, including around the house.

Deer, Geese, Duck, small game, quail, 25/25 in Skeet, and Dove limit is 15 and only used 13 shells to limit out...plus some other stuff...

Lots of us use these.

JKimball - well i live in an apartment with narrow hallways and corners, so the pistol grip works best in this setting. the breachergrip eliminates almost all recoil so that is not a problem.

guitargod - do you really sleep with a pistol underneath your pillow?? isn't that a little overkill, wouldn't it be faster to retrieve from next to the bed and a little more comfortable?? lol

shotgun joe - it's a .45

justin and rich k - lmao.....i didn't put a gun to your head and force you to tell me/show me what your hd weapons are. please don't respond with a negative non-response....lol

Here is Mr. Ruger he is an HD dog in training.

Yeah, I really sleep with one under my pillow. I live in a studio apartment and my bedroom is essentially my living room. Anyone who comes through the front door is in right across from my bed, so I don't feel that it's overkill. If someone came through the door I might have four or five seconds to defend myself. As far as it being a quicker retrieval from next to the bed, I really don't know.

I live in a bad neighborhood, too. I can't wait until I move in a couple of months. :D
