Thanks a bunch guys...really means a lot to me and my family.
Just learned that it is cancer, but it hasn't spread into her brain or abdominal cavity. They did find some on her lymph nodes, though. They still have to run some more tests to positively identify what type they are dealing with, but they plan on starting radiation treatments next week as soon as the biopsy is complete.
We're all just hoping she can make it to her birthday on October 8th. It'll be a special one for sure.
My Prayers are with your Grandmother and your family.
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition,
with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God,
which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Just got home from visiting her with my parents and brother. She had an "ok" day today...smiled and laughed a bit.
She knows exactly what I know about her illness. She knows that when it's her time, she'll be in a better place and not struggle or suffer. It's going to take her quick, but it could be another 2-3 years from now, or next week. She knows it's going to be a hard road ahead, but she's still got some fight in her.
I sent a prayer for your Grandmother, you, all the family and friends, and all medical personel associated with her case ... may the Lord keep and bless you all ... Amen
May our Lord Jesus above, bestow upon Betty Shepherd, God's choicest blessings; and amongst those blessings may there be health of body and health of mind throughout the remainder of her days; may she feel the love of all those around her until You call her home to be with You and your Father
bang...
Gotcha covered...My family and I will be praying her, for you and for the whole family...Keep us posted. Believing for a miracle!!!! You may be hundreds of miles from me, but The Lord is only a prayer away from you......God Bless....
Prayers sent! Hang in there, dude. The lord works in myserious ways. I lost my grandfather not long ago. It's not easy, but keep looking up. I hope your grandmother is blessed with a miracle.
Well, time for another update...hopefully the last for a good while.
She started her Chemotherapy treatments the other day. So far, she's had some pretty good days and I think she's got the fight in her to hang in there. We're actually looking to bring her home possibly next week.
At first, we were all doubtful due to her condition. But I think that her accepting she has cancer and not wanting to die from it has put some courage into her. Also, the prayers and cards from everyone has sure helped EVERYONE with the situation. Thanks guys...and like I said, I hope that it's all up hill from here.
