Ok, so I realize the market would be really small, and it wouldn't be that practical, but how about a full size, over under Howdah style, all stainless pistol, in .44 mag, .454, or better yet, 500 magnum.

I'm thinking Bond arms as the maker. I know the chance is zero on this, but how cool would that be? Full size wood grips. 4 or 5" bbl. I think that would be one fun, and totally impractical pistol. And I'd gladly buy one.

Maybe, though I would prefer the standard side by side.

Regulating the barrels would be the crippling point. It would likely drive up the price.

The only thing that has kept me from getting one of the Pedersoli BP howdah pistols is the price. $7-800 is awful expensive for what it is.

That's a pretty nice S&W, speaking from a price standpoint. More useful, and just as grin inducing. Or two Dragoons, which I would dig more insofar as the holy black. That's not what you were asking, though.

All of this is obviously just from my viewpoint.

I would figure Rossi would be all on this making something like those old Cobrays. Howdah style handgun in 454 with the chambers set up to also take 410

I like the over/under idea and if it was made in .454 you could also make it so it could shoot .410 and .45 long colt.

While it would make for a unique firearm, I would not invest my retirement savings on it..........;)

Yep, this would be a gun with limited utility, and the price and practicality would make it not worth the investment by any major manufacturer.

Sure would be cool though.

Oh, and the thought of 500 magnum was due to the fact that a lot of the Howdahs were 50 cals. I'd say you could put .500 specials through it too, hey?
