Ok, I'll say something about reaper's "cops on CCW" thread

Anyone know of cases where this has actually happened?

I did have a police officer see my Permit to carry one time when I took my permit to drive out after I got hit. She was just doing her job. Only thing she asked was if I had a pistol on me. I answered with the truth and she said just keep it where it is...

My answer would be no

I've worn cargo pants since forever. I was having leg problems, immoderate youth on uncle sam's dime, it was suggested I needed more solid footwear and bought some boots because cops were wearing them. I figured they would know good comfortable ones and I was right. Nothing wrong with being alert and aware and I'd say its how most people pick cops out of a crowd as far as that goes.

Years ago when I'd first gotten my CHL. A friend who was a deputy would walk up and pat me down. If I wasn't carrying he'd go off, asking what I was going to do if I needed to shoot someone. He was quite the clown for a LEO.

The only time I've seen a cop freak, it was a rookie. My friend was pulled for having a headlight out. When the cop approached the window my friend said, "I have my concealed carry permit, my gun is in the center console."

The deputy stepped back and put his hand on his weapon. He used his shoulder radio to call for back up and told us to keep our hands pressed against the seiling. The other officer that showed up appolgized and laughed about it.

He explained the first guy had only been on patrol by himself a couple of days.
