Ive just been thinking about some of the stuff encountered in my life as of late and thought you all would get a chuckle out of it......or even worse, see yourselves in these words.........god forbid! :D

Being a holster/gun leather maker is more than a fulltime job......way more.
Being a parent is also the same hours and the to mix quite well at times.
But sometimes they dont....................

In the last month Ive found my best and numerous holsters in the fridge, my kids toybox (at the bottom), in the dryer and being brought back to me by my kids friends parents (Hey, did you lose this?)....thank god they are cool people.

I find myself drawing up different designs/ideas during swimming lessons, dining out on napkins with my friends and family, waiting at drive through's in my car etc.

Cutting out paper patterns in public while waiting for my son to get out of school or eating.......It probably looks like Im cutting out paper dolls. :D

Giving my 7 year old daughter my new guns to get her opinion on what she thinks of the trigger pull/break. She's a critic

Getting her approval on my molding before I ship my work out to my customers and getting her help to see if Im printing if Im working on a new gun/holster design. (Remember the story when she busted the cop with the Tuckable holster.......te he he)

Having my kids explain to their friends that "If you dont like guns you dont want to come to my house!" and having their friends eyes do this :what: when they figure out what I do for work.........."Thats so tight!" (I believe tight is a good thing)

Having my kids and there friends acting "very guilty" and finding my holsters/belts/gun molds on them, being carried concealed and about to have a "play gun fight" in my living room..............

Finding aluminum gun molds in the dishwasher "because I used it to stir my chocolate milk" :scrutiny:

Having my kids friends parents ask me "Does your daughter really have her own Beretta?" and the look on their faces when I say "Yes...but its only an air soft!" :what:

Same with her sword cane that stays in my safe.

Having my sons 4th grade teacher become a customer of mine......:D
VERY VERY COOL.

Thats a few of them.......hope you like em.

Shoot well.

Sounds like a perfectly healthy mind to me.

Ex-wife kinda thought I was nuts for washing shotshell hulls in the washing machine. Of course I did use her mesh declicate bag thingy. Heck I had to buy her another...and me two more. ;) [makes a great empty hull bag for the range]

She is the one that put panty hose on the ceiling fan on medium speed to dry in a hurry..., we had a Theatre Performance to attend that night,..come home and see that in a bedroom and tell me if that don't look strange. :uhoh: :p

LMAO! :D

Thanks for sharing...brightened my morning, got the day off classes due to snow but my shooting range is still closed. :fire:

I can relate to that. I'm not quite as bad (or good) as you, but I tend to leave G&A annuals, American Rifleman magazines, Georgia Arms cataloges, and the ocassional piece of brass, empty holster, etc., lying around. Some of my kid's friends have interesting reactions to the literature. "Eye's big as saucers" pretty much nails it. But none of their parents have said anything one way or another. One couple we are friends with (former Toronto residents) are noticably uncomfortable with anything gun realted, but have not pushed the issue. They are pro hunting...so I take what I can get, and don't rock the boat.

I can picture that......:) :)
What kid can resist messing around in Dad's tool box and other assorted "Dad stuff".

Of course it is! It's all about retention these days... :p :uhoh:

Thanks for the laughs. I'll have to go search for your story about your daughter making the cop with the tuckable rig.

I think I need to lose my mind too ... I'm begining to let my dislike for my current job become my dislike for my chosen line of work (one that used to enjoy).

Well if you find your mind, make sure you drop it real quick and run away :)
