I work in the Movie Industry as a Driver... the SPFX guys and Prop guys are more often than not... Umm.... Dangerous to say it nicely..

Not to mention the stuipd actors who get the gun and don't really know what to look for and literally "Play" with them... its sickening. I worked on CSI Vegas for 5 years... that show was a trigger pull away from death on the set EVERy day... sad

I like Jelly Jar's idea.
Related story: They just buried (today) a young firefighter who was shot. The girl, a friend, found his weapon in the car while he was pumping gas. Pointed it at him and pulled the trigger. "I didn't think it was loaded" and didn't know enough to check. Waiting on a Man2 trial and about 15-20 now.
I hate when Darwin takes the good ones:banghead:

SLAMFIRE 1 - "I am aware of a 60's Western TV Star who put a Colt SAA prop gun to his temple and pulled the trigger.

No bullet, but just as dead. "

I never heard of that one. Who was the actor?????

L.W.

I remember watching it, then one of the stars changed. I heard, at the time, the missing star shot himself in the head with a prop gun.

Now, searching I find the show was named Alias Smith and Jones, and Wiki now says it was a self inflicted wound to the head. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alias_Smith_and_Jones

Maybe what was reported was not exactly the truth, perhaps the guy suicided.
