SP 101, 3" .357 loaded with Golden Sabers, sitting on the desk in front of me. It will go to leather when I go dwnstrs, have an 18 1/4" H&R 12 ga by the bed, 3" #4 buck up the tube, another 5 by it on the night stand.

Ruger LCP In my pocket, Glock 19, S&W 659, High Standard M101 Plinker, High Standard FK101 Field King, Nagant 1895 made in1923, Mosberg 30-06, Winchester 1200, 20ga pump, cant remember the brand (I'm old and had a brain fart), Finnish mosin nagant, several Russian mosin nagant rifles from various arsenals, SKS, Remington .22 autoloader and a whole bunch of black powder rifles and pistols. All locked up in my gunsafe.

The nearest gun to me right now is a pre-WWII 1911... I think it's from the early 1920s. It was my father's and I rescued it from a relative who had it stashed in a plastic bag on shelf in a laundry room! It was brown with fine rust when I pulled it out of the bag it had lived in for nearly a decade.

Now it's black and shiny and works great.

Closet gun to me right now is my Benelli Super Nova. Won it in a contest a few years ago. It's actually patiently awaiting a cleaning.

Depends what room I'm in. Living room, Kimber .45, Ruger MkII or Rem 12 guage.
Bedroom#1 downstairs, Astra .41 mag or Moss shotgun.
Kitchen, Springfiled .45 or Ruger .327 mag.
Upstairs bedroom #2, Ruger .357 or Moss shotgun
BR #3, Ruger .357
BR#4, Kimber .45 or Rem shotgun.
Bathroom #1 Star 9mm
Bathroom #2 Taurus .327
Bathroom #3 Very hard and heavy roll of toilet paper.
Lord have mercy! Using that method of storing guns, there's no need for a gun safe! Lol
Seriously. I was gonna ask what that method is...

Just throw a Glock under a couch, stuff an 870 in the coat closet, another shotgun under a bed, a 1911 in with the forks and knives, etc?

Within arms reach is my new S&W 340 m&p load with 38spl+p 110 gr hornady critical defense ammunition and with an apex tactical trigger job. If I have to get up, there is a stag arms ar loaded with hornady tap.223, a benelli m2 loaded with winchester ranger 00 buck, and a smith and wesson 1911 loaded with hornady tap .45 acp all within 10 ft.

A very good Yugo Mauser 48A and a really good Enfield #4/mk. 1 are a few feet away: both seldom used as they are For Sale, FTF only (in person).
Tomorrow the wicked but attractive Spanish FR8 Mauser (.308) carbine and SKS will be the closest, in the trunk of my car.

The mission is to seek out and sink the floating insurgent bottles of Gator Aid, or send up "smoke signals" from a fragment of a concrete block.:D
We have No concerns about MOA and never cared...

I have four guns equidistant from me - A S&W 64 and 629 and SVI 2011 I've been been doing dry fire practice with, and a loaded Mossberg 590 Mariner in case something comes crashing through my door to do live fire practice with me.

Haven't really thought about it until I started reading this thread, so here goes.

Office Book shelf next to me: Kimber 1911 Crimson Carry

Livingroom: S&W Mdl 60 38 Spl in the cushion of my "Throne" -
S&W Mdl 36 in the cushion of the sofa -
Winchester 1300 18" 12 gauge with 7+1 of #4 shot next to the front door
Oh, and the Ruger Mini-30 and Marlin 30/30 on the sofa just cleaned and waiting to be put away

Kitchen: Llama Micro-Max 380 - Ruger Mark III

Bedroom Nightstand: S&W Mdl 27 357 Mag
Other nightstand: S&W Mdl 15 38 Spl
Headboard: Colt Peacemaker
Between nightstand & headboard: Hi-point 995ST 9mm
Dresser (Next to the john) Browning Hi-Power
Closet: 30 M1 Carbine - Beretta Stampede 357 Mag

Then there's the 38 Spl derringer in my pocket.

But no one needs to worry about any of these unless they get past 70 pounds of Rottweiler.

how do you protect bathroom guns from high humidity
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Bathrooms 1 & 2 are commodes and sinks only. Bathroom #3 is a 20' x 20' bathroom with a tub, shower and commercial spa in it. Its directly off the large downstairs bedroom with a Moss 12 guage (folding stock, that's the the "hard heavy roll") in the towel closet. Because of the spa that whole room is sheetrocked with humidity sheetrocking and there's no humidity in that towel closet.

Because we work with so very many older Swiss rifles, we have a seperate armoury building. We're manufacturers of firearm accessories for Swiss rifles, so the firearms in the house (rather large at 4,200sf) and because its so large, are all safety buffers for us.

In the living room/kitchen; Kel Tec P-11.
In the office; a tossup. A homebuilt M4gery on a Stag lower, a S&W model 19 w/2 1/2 inch barrel, or a S&W model 10, target hammer and a 4 inch bull barrel.
In bedroom; Glock 17 in the nightstand.
At work, S&W model 37 in my truck.

19C loaded with Gold Dots (my CCW) about 6" away from my hand thats on the mouse, and a Smith model 10 in the top drawer of the computer desk loaded with hard cast wadcutters (wifes house gun)

S&W M&P 9 Pro Series.

Work for the railroad and have to stay in alot of undesirable places. Always in 5.11 single pistol case right next to the bed

Edit: Loaded with Winchester PDX

Witness .45 ACP with extra .22 LR upper. The .45 restored my faith in Semi-autos, but DARN that .22 is accurate.

My trusty "little friend" the Ruger LCP is on the end table next to me :D Love this thing. No 1911 or Glock, but it's a good constant companion...

On my right side here in the computer room sets my first 357 mag, 4 inch bbl. Smith & Wesson model 19, its my first Smith and my mother bought it for me as a Christmas present many years ago. It has so many rounds put through it it has been relegated to home duty, loaded with some Super Vel ammo that i have had for as long.

Hmm, let's see, that would be my '09 vintage Marlin Model 39A .22 caliber lever action, leaning against the headboard of my bed, no less than a foot away from me.

I got it about a month ago, and in that time, have put a couple hundred rounds through it, it was used, but in 99% of new condition, I don't even think it had been fired, the lever started off a little gritty, but after a good deep cleaning of the factory oil, a thin film of RIG Universal gun grease on the inside and outside, and running the action a couple quadrillion times, the action is now buttery smooth

In my short month of ownership of the 39, it has supplanted all my other .22's as my new favorite, it even dethroned my YoDave trigger equipped CZ-452 Trainer, there's something about shouldering the 39 that just feels *right*

The only reason the 39 is next to the bed is because it's my latest shiny new toy and the newness hasn't worn off it yet, I still grab it and run the lever a few times just for the heck of it (unloaded, naturally) and I am too lazy to put it in my gun rack at the moment....

If I reach a little further, I can grab my Remington 870 Express Supermag leaning against the nightstand, my "bump in the night" gun with yellowish blonde wood, and a short 18.5" Cylinder bore barrel, ammo cuff on the buttstock and Remington Supercell recoil pad, it has four #4 Buck shells in the tube, hammer down on an empty chamber, so all I need to do is rack the slide to go hot, buttcuff contains 4 00 Buck shells and one Brenneke Tactical Home Defense reduced recoil slug

Nearest (and dearest) to me is what hangs over my fireplace: a .50 caliber Hawken that I built many moons ago in ... high school! Can you imagine doing that today?
