SIG P365 .380

To me, the .380 with premium ammo can do everything the 9mm can do, with a little less recoil. The kicker there is “premium ammo.” A 9mm with more pedestrian ammo can do the same job and is cheaper to feed, in normal times. And most folks can handle the recoil. In crazy times both will be prohibitively expensive.

As others have said, a scaled-down one would be nice. SIG needs a striker-fired pocket gun -- true pocket gun, not almost pocket gun. I love the 365, but you need really big pockets to carry it that way.

Lighter recoil and easier racking? OK. I'm not there yet, but I will be someday.

In my 232SL, I push 115 grain XTPs at 1050 FPS. I have to use a heavy spring and I only feel comfortable doing it in an all stainless gun, but it's a pure carry gun so it only needs to tolerate 8 rounds. A locked breech 9 can push bigger bullets faster for 30,000 rounds with only recoil spring changes, but that's a very different use case.

I'm guessing you must be a younger man. As a 67 year old with declining hand strength along with degenerative arthritis in both the thumb and pinky of my shooting hand, I have no problem seeing the advantage of a P365 chambered in .380.

Got you beat by a few years sir. The easiest slide on a .380 I ever used was a SIG-250. A larger gun though, held15 rounds. Not nearly as concealable as a 365. Currently I use a 42 Glock which is kind of the same idea as a .380 calibered 365. I am very happy with it but I actually prefer manual safeties on my pistols which the 42 does not have. The 42 also fits all of my front pockets whereas the 365 is too tight in some.

Very sorry to hear about your hand weakness. I guess we all suffer in some way as we get older.

Yep!! I had a P365 that I didn't care for size wise ...I think I can take another look at it in the .380 platform.

Didn’t know it was coming out in 380, very excited! Might have to hold off on the 365X with optical cut. Will be waiting.

I’m the same way. My G42 rides in a Alabama Holster, but not as easy to get out as a j frame or my M&P BG380. And I never really liked carrying it on my belt.

When the 365 first came out, I thought it would have been perfect in 380. I had to hold it with a death grip and that caused magazines to drop and the slide to my lock back due to the flimsy frame. Really hope to get a 365 in 380, already have an Alabama Holster ready for it!

380acp .. lighter recoiling , easier to manipulate slide … a smaller P365 type pistol 10+1 380acp
Sell like hotcakes

Blahh.. 380 ammo is hard to find and is even more expensive than 9mm. To add to that, I'm not paying $500-$600 for a pocket 380.

This will only appeal to a very small and narrow demographic in the US market.

Stock up on Gun now and worry about ammo later

I want to see Sig come out with a high cap extra small pocket pistol in .32ACP!!!’

imagine if you will.......the LCPII in 25ACP, 9 rounds. Or even 32ACP in 8 rounds. Of the G42 in a double stack 25ACP or staggered stacked. 32ACP!

I have dreams.

I’d love a locked breech staggered stack 32. It would have the recoil of a 22 and some real terminal effectiveness, especially with Underwood ammo!
