I've seen numerous terms used here, i.e., vacation guns, truck guns, woods guns, walking guns, tractor guns, and some others.

Aside from the typical hunting, target shooting, trap, self defense, what else ya' got?

Varmint ('splode 'em)
BBQ Guns (finger lickin' good)
Beater (takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin')
Loaner (pre-scratched, dinged, scratches extra)
Nightstand (did you hear that honey?)
Bathroom (terrible time to be locked in a small room without a defense)
Barn Gun (coyotes, rats, pigeons, oh my)
Speedo Gun (careful to pull the right weapon out)
Corner Store Gun (just a quick in and out)
Bullet Hose (not sure where some of them shots went)

Excellent! lol

I don't have one, and for some reason I wasn't able to link some pictures of one either. But I've known about "barbeque" guns for a long time.
We (my wife and I) have a couple of "pest control" guns by the back door. There's a H&R Handi Rifle chambered in .17HMR, and a Sheridan Blue Streak .20 caliber pellet rifle there. Which one we use for pests (gophers, rabbits, starlings, etc.) in the garden or currant bushes mostly depends on how large the pest is. Although, I admit that sometimes I just enjoy exploding a currant stealing starling with the .17HMR rather than just killing it with the pellet rifle.
Edited to add: I also have a Shiloh-Sharps .45-110 (2 7&8 inch case) black powder cartridge rifle that I've never used for anything other than showing off to friends and relatives. So I don't know what to call it - my "show" gun perhaps? My wife ordered that rifle for me for our 25th wedding anniversary (25 years ago as a matter of fact), so maybe I should call it a "silver anniversary" rifle.;)

One of the biggest attractions guns had for me, as a kid and now, was that each and every type/model was a very unique mechanism.

Time, materials, ingenuity, patents and need have evolved firearms and still, they are all such interesting mechanisms.

Family guns. That were given to the gun nut kid (me) by grand parents, great and great great uncles, preachers, stepdad, etc. Include an 1880s CSSchattuck single twist barrel 10 that was one uncle's market gun near Detroit in the early 1900s. Another's Krag from his time with Teddy and then in the lumber camps when he was a hunter/cook. A 22 Rem rolling block that was used to kill hogs for butchering. A Stevens #26, 22 and a Type 99 Jap battlefield pickup. Brothers 444, 44 Ruger three screw, dad's m19 duty revolver. Family guns that will go on to my boys and hopefully on to theirs.

No one else fishes? You actually need a fishing gun for the real big boys deep sea. You don't want a live marlin on your boat.

A lot of my firearms do just fine in the multi purpose department. My vehicle gun is the one on my belt at the time. My home defense gun is my 2 guns that I use for EDC roles. Both have lights so they both work out as home defense weapons. I may not have everything I want but I have everything I feel I need to be well rounded. And it can be quiet amusing as well. The funniest looks I ever got was taking a 870 Police to shoot an informal course of trap with instead of a fancy SXS.
