Someone grabs at your carry gun?

He doesn't work there full time, but we are new with horses and he has raised this horse from birth. He has only been out a few more times since the incident.

I understand the need to be diligent, but sometimes honest people do make mistakes, and he has not done anything else to make me lose trust in him. No, I will never be complacent around the farm as I was that day, but I do give second chances.

K.I.S.S. Follow the principles of physics. Strong hand and weak hand goes to holstered gun for support, create space by pushing into then away from person grabbing, spin violently **away 180 degrees to grabbers weak side. Create more space for yourself to further react to gain control either by escape or engagement.

**Never spin into the strong side go against the joint ie "weak side"

This thread is really thought-provoking! Thanks to all.
This is one more plus for pocket carry; the gun is very hard to walk up and grab.

I am not qualified to answer this question. I did see a video of a police officer interacting with a man who attempted to grab his gun - the officer pivoted on one foot and created a lot of distance between himself and the man very quickly then drew. I'm sure a retention holster and fast reflexes helped on that one. The altercation didn't end well for the attacker. While it may not always be possible I like the idea of creating distance...though every situation is different.
