YX, the way I do it is this.
Imagine holding the rifle in your left hand, with your hand under the receiver so that your fingers curl under the receiver and your left finger tips (especially your middle and ring finger) are on the loading gate.
Using your right hand, start the rnd into the loading gate, but simultaneously use the tip of the middle finger of your left hand (coming up from under the receiver) to push the rnd against the loading gate. Shove it in with your right thumb, press down on the rnd against the loading gate with your left fingers (taking the pressure off).
Since I started doing that, the action is twice as easy, twice as smooth,
and the loading gate no longer pinches my right fingers when it closes.
