What's Your Most Trusted Gun?

My most trusted...

Rifle: Browning BLR
Pistol: Glock 17
Shotgun: Fox side-by-side

I have others that are as reliable but these inspire the most confidence in me because I'm most familiar with their capabilities. The Browning has cleanly killed everything I've ever fired it at.

Bushmaster/LAR homebuilt. Well over a 1000 by now and it has always went bang. The chrome lined barrel also shoots 1MOA with winchester white box unfreefloated.

I was floored when I took it out and got a group at 100 smaller than a quarter. I am afraid to have the barrel threaded since its a postban

I know that a lot of people prefer the larger caliber, but my S&W 5903 has had all kinds of ammo ran through it without any problems(less 2 ftf wolf rounds). Also it is extreamly accurate.I LOVE this gun!

My Makarov has never failed to feed, fire, or fling over several thousand rounds. It sits next to my Mossy pump.

The Carry gun...

S&W Model 36 snubbie with clipdraw and tyler t-grips.

I own a half dozen other reliable automatics in .45 and 9mm...but the revolvers and the Mac are the ones I would bet my life on.

I am familiar enough with all of my handguns that an irregularity in function is not a great cause for concern. I don't expect any problem using appropriate ammo however, they're very dependable. I do have more confidence in the larger calibers to get the job done for some reason.

For rifles then I'd have to go with the small caliber heavy barreled bolt action varmint rifle (mines a Ruger 243). It puts a bullet exactly where I want it. Malfunctions aren't an issue since it only takes one shot to get the job done with proper placement. Proper placement prevents p1$$ poor performance.. There's those 5 p's again and it's applicable to handguns or rifles.
