I have three rifles chambered in .308 Winchester. I went for decades with zero, then an acquaintance gave me 664 rounds of .308 ammo, so of course that required a rifle. The first was a CZ 550FS. I really liked the build quality of the 550, the action and single set trigger, and got a chance to pick up a 550 Varmint (pictured below). The Varmint is a very satisfying gun to shoot, delivers 100-yard groups in the .2"-3" range with a variety of factory-loaded ammo, and due to the weight, is low recoil and very pleasant to fire. The 3rd is an Armalite AR-10, which I also like a lot, heavy compared to my 6 lb. AR-15, but recoil is also pleasant, and I like the .30-caliber punch. I think the .308 is a good round.
