What Does a Bad Guy Look Like?

Anyone care to translate this for me?
Yeah. A man in good' ol gun friendly Arizona spent a good while in jail at tr a justified defensive shooting that killed no one, and one reason is that he had a training chart containing that phrase. That's in our stickies here. The statement goes to state of mind.

If you are a straight, white, conservative God fearing person who defends themselves against anything other than that, you will be crucified.
The only part of that that will be evident is color.

The second part of my quote which seems to be causing some frustration, "have a plan to kill everyone you meet", is simply preparedness. Its not "blood lust" or anything else.
Re-read the above story about the Arizona case.

I don't doubt though, that comm.ie DA's or general lawyers would have a field day trying to twist that statement.
That's bunk, and it indicates a very high degree of naivete. The statement not be twisted to indicate the the actor may well have been predisposed to violence. It could destroy, or make much more difficult, a defense of justification in a justified defensive use of force incident.

And it has.

Now, y0u have inserted it into your record.

Perhaps this extremely distilled discussion will clarify things:

(1) "To Have a plan" smacks of premeditation. That would not be at consistent with lawful self defense.
(2) "To kill" is not a lawful objective of self defense.

Maybe one thing people who are willing to defend themselves need to remember, is that Townships, Attorneys, and Municipalities have a tendency to look for, and create "revenue streams". Prosecuting a BG is probably the proper thing to do, but there isn't much money, in jailing, and charging some individual who has no money. This is another reason why SA, proper threat assessment, and especially avoiding or evading the fight are so essential.

It's not the financial condition of the suspect, it's the financial condition of YOU. A gun owner is far more likely to become a revenue stream,
because he has deeper pockets than a BG. This is one of the reasons why your BG is targeting you (the private citizen), in the first place, wealth.

If I'm not mistaken, the whole purpose of this section is how to avoid being victimized TWICE, by not only the BGs, but also, by the very legal system which was supposedly set up to protect us, correct?

And, back to topic, developing the skills to identify these bad guys, in time to avoid and escape, keeps you (also others) out of the system, and away from becoming wealth draining revenue streams.

He likely has no knowledge of your net worth.

And here, I thought BGs studied "Determining Your Victims Absolute Total Net Worth, Before Attacking" in College. No, the BG doesn't know your net worth, (not that it matters) but he has determined you are of high enough worth to be targeted, as a profitable victim. Have no doubt, once you are in trouble, however, your Defense Attorney will figure out your net worth, in short order, and in some unfortunate instances, act accordingly.

Net Worth, that seems a little off topic. no?

Do you believe that the cost of a legal defense will have much to do with how much the defendant can afford? A destitute defendant may rate a public defender, but that allowance may not begin to go the distance.

We are going afield here.

We are going afield, at your whim, sir. Net worth of the victim has nothing to do with the topic. I didn't mention it, you did. The whole point is proper avoidance of trouble allows you to avoid becoming a revenue stream, regardless of whether some defendant or criminal is destitute, or not.

Proper identification of BGs, early in the stage of an encounter, helps keep you out of trouble. Especially costly legal trouble.

Gentlemen- Tho irrelevant to the topic.
Money is always prevalent to a case. One way or another.

Good Topic is The Bad guy- not $ in this thread- let’s stay on it? I’m intrigued at the viewpoints. All of them

I thought all bad guys had people tied to the railroad tracks and had a big mustache.
Joking aside-

I Think this Topic could prove to be a great assistance to us Law abiding citizens…….
If we can Stay on the Topic .

It is a real challenge to give a assessment of a “Bad Guy” in society.

I’d like to read more Viable opinions on that.

I Am Glad Kleanbore has brought this subject up. It can save Lives.

Here's another bad guy look:

A man pushing a shopping cart around and pretending to look at stuff on shelves, but looking around at others in the store.

Possible predator or accomplice to a robber.

And another--I've seen this:

A man parked heading out by the door of a shop, hood up, wiping his dipstick for an extended period while watching people who are departing from the store.

It is THE thing to do, if it is safely possible.

When you consider the fact that the vast majority of attacks, especially like being described, typically take place when the aggressor has the odds heavily weighted in his (their) favor, the wisest choice is most often avoidance.

A friend once offered me the adage "nobody gets out of a knife fight without bleeding". Similar sayings may be made about many other types of attack, especially against odds stacked against you.

And even if you must fight (even with a firearm), distance is most often best integrated into your tactics. Distance equals more time and greater safety options.

Be alert, and avoid if at all possible.

Not sure if that’s wisdom, knowledge or common sense. Yet I agree with it and the Previous txt’s that are “Identical” ;) with that ideology.
