Welcome to THR, omcjf.

That "nearly empty" thing with the wallet gets to be more prominent the more you hang out with the knife crowd here. ;)

LOL - love the comment about the cell phone so the wife can call and tell you she misses you. (Mine's exactly the same. :) )

Ok, here's mine:

left front - leatherman charge ti
right front - keys to my truck and some cash
left rear - wallet
right leg - cell phone.

I can't say the cell phone is absolutely 100% in my pocket because when I'm rolling around under a trailer or wrestling with the tractor some such I'm afraid I'll break it but it's there 90% or better . .especially when I'm using the chainsaw.

I don't know how people could carry everything they show and still function. I'm always crawling under or over something to fix something else . ... if I had that much crap in my pockets I couldn't bend I don't think. :)

Today is off day so I've got on cargos today. Normally I don't carry the Ipod or the sunglasses but I just went for a decent walk. Just emptied the cargo pants pockets.

Right Front: Keys attached to a kubaton
Right Cargo: Motorola Q Smartphone with 2gb Mini SD card
Left Front: Surefire E1L, Ipod Nano w earbuds
Left Cargo: Oakley Square Wire Sunglasses
Right Rear: Wallet, ID, CCW, Debit card, Credit card cash
Left Rear: Benchmade autoblade

In the summer months, I almost always wear khaki shorts with the side cargo pockets.
I carry:
a mini-mag in the left side cargo pocket.
wallet in my left rear pocket
whatever folder i grab in the morning in my left front pocket
a multitool in my right cargo pocket
marlboro mediums and a lighter in my right front pocket

thats about it.

It's kind of interesting how many of use carry all this gear for self defense, and also carry cigarettes. I'm as guilty of it as anyone, but it is kind of ironic.

I will generally carry a medium length (3-4") folding knife, a small (1.5-2") folding knife, my wallet, a Surefire light, my cellphone, Sabre pepperspray, a lighter, a multi-tool and, depending on where I am, an implement of destruction (revolver, pistol, whatever I feel like that day)

Well the thread is What Gear Do You Always Carry in Your Pockets? not what are you carrying right now, because right now I don't even have pockets, lol I'm at home sitting in my computer in shorts. :D

I usually carry, Right front. Money (if I have any), Kershaw knife clipped
Left front-- cell phone, (for my wife to call me) :D change if I have any. keys
Left rear-- wallet
Right rear-- usually nothing
Clip in my belt a taurus 627 and a speedloader or my PT-111 and a spare mag

I thought I carry a lot but I hope some of you guys have very good belts because you guys are carrying a lot of weight.

Wallet, keys, knife (usually a CRKT Mirage with the Wharncliffe blade, Kershaw Leek, or Camillus hawkbill, although I have a lot of other choices), Ronson Standard lighter- don't smoke but I like to have a source of fire anyway-nail clippers, cell phone, a couple-few pens (Office Depot sells the ultimate gel pen as a Foray retractable, and some of my collection of hundreds of fountain pens) and if I can get away with it a Beretta 21A and a German Sipo police spring baton vertical next to my wallet. Heavier artillery stays in the car and goes in the belt as needed or opportunity permits. My job takes me through a lot of metal detectors so I have to be judicious as to what I carry at any given time.

This is very difficult for me, because it depends on where I am traveling, why and for how long.

Right front pocket Spyderco Police, work keys,Bic lighter, money
Left front pocket Kershaw Chive,house/truck keys,Zippo lighter
Right rear pocket Wallet
Left rear pocket Buck 110
breast pocket Marlboro 27s,sunglasses
when I get my CCP I will add to this

This is almost always what I have. Try to keep it pretty simple and light. Occasionally I'll add a small Surefire, but only if it's dark when I head out for a walk or something.

CTAC w/ P2000sk at 3:30 on Wilderness Instructor belt

Outside of my pockets I have a watch and sunglasses 90% of the time.

cell phone (crap motorola razr)
keys on small carabiner
wallet
usually smokes & lighter
then depending on the situation, either my Emerson HD-7, Chris Reeve small Classic Sebenza with cocobolo wood inlay, or soon the MOD Massad Ayoob Razorback.

man bag

Someone needs to come up with something more manly than a fanny pack but not too big or obvious to carry all this stuff!
Whenever I carry too much in my pockets my pants sag, sitting down can be dangerous, pockets bulge, etc. Every manly bag/pack I've seen is either way too big and/or purse-like.

Anyone found anything that is "relatively" small, convenient, manly, etc... ???

Kershaw Leek
Wallet
Keys
Kubaton (not attached to keys)
S&W 642 (soon) in Mika holster
Cell phone

USGuns, I'm looking for something that I saw in a recent edition of Outside mag, let me see if I can find it.

Don't fall into the "I carry a flashlight if it's night time" trap. There are many possibilities where you might need a flashlight in the daytime. Be prepared for the unexpected.
