What is your favorite model of glock

Theoretically, my favorite is the G17L, but I have never held one in my hands, much less shot one. I did own a Gen2 G24 that I liked. I never could quite learn to love the .40 in Glocks, however, and when I dumped my G22 duty pistols, in favor of the SIG P229R in .40, I sold all of my then-remaining Glocks.

I really tried to learn to love my G29, but it was just a bit too big for my hands. With the advent of Short Frame and Gen4 solving the grip size issues for me, I could, potentially, return to 10mm Glocks.

The Gen4 G19 does have great utilitarian appeal for me, and I just bought my second one. Until the Gen4, Glocks fit my left hand quite well, but were notably less-suited for my right hand; my hands are, indeed, built differently. With Gen4, I now have a good fit in both hands. The G19 is a good size for concealment on my skinny self, with the grip frame being just the right length for all of my fingers to fit, and the grooves are in the right place, which is amazing to me. (Grooves on most handguns have been a quite ill-fitting experience.) The bad: The G19 is light enough that 9mm recoil can hurt my arthritic right wrist. This is not the gun's fault, but it means a larger model is better for range sessions, and a pistol I shoot more often is likely to become more-favored.

So, this brings me back to a G17L being a theoretical favorite, though I am unsure if there will be any Gen4 G17L pistols produced, so perhaps a Gen4 G34 will become my future favorite, with the Gen4's better fit in both hands, a longer-than-G17 sight radius for eaiser aiming, and weight/mass to soak-up recoil, for a gentler muzzle flip that would be better for my arthritic right wrist.

The only one I've ever owned...the g20.

One of these days I may hunt up a 19 or 23, but I have a few M&P's on the list ahead of it.

I don't own any, but the 26 is the only one I've considered for my short list (it lost to the M&P 9C).

there are 2 in the house both gen3 a 19&23 my wife owns the 9mm i carry the .40 , my trust in both is complete :)

I have tried my best to make it the Glock 26. I have also tried my best to find a reason to dislike the 19. As much as I hate to say it my 19 is my favorite.

Glock Favorite Model

Model Zero, since I am a Glock avoider. I don't mean to be negative, but I believe the plastic wears out, and it never looked like a pistol to me. Guess I'm too set in my ways. That leaves more Glocks for those who idolize them, right? Sincerely, I will follow THR threads for them, and maybe I'll change.

Oh, I never shot one , I guess, because I may have Glock-aphobia. The next chance I get, I'll try.

The best to all who like Glocks. I firmly believe a person should shoot what he likes.:)

. . .
Oh, I never shot one.
If I had a dollar for every time I heard that, I'd be a wealthy man. Heck, if I had a dollar for every time I said that, I'd be in a good spot. Then I shot one. Next, I bought one.

Now, my favorite model is the G19. It's my favorite pistol to date.

Amen. Dyed in the wool "I'll never own a plastic pistol" person until last Summer when my Wife and I went on a quest to find our potential CCL "Soul Mate" guns. We borrowed, rented, or bought everything commonly available.

My two favorites that stayed with me? A Beretta Px4 subcompact and a Glock 26...I could/can have anything I wanted and I bought and kept 2 polymer framed pistols.

Ya can't say "I don't like them and a guy should shoot what he likes" if you never shot one. Big mistake. I don't idolize Glocks - I still don't wanna like it. But nothing I shot this last Summer out shot that G26 right out of the box. We just bought a Glock 42 for my Wife. She can have anything she wants. She has shot 'em all - wants the G42.

Handle one, rent one, shoot one. Then tell everyone you don't like 'em when you have a frame of reference.

VooDoo

The one that doesn't exist! Till then the versatile G23. Not to big, not to small, can make a 9mm or 357 sig if I want with a just a barrel or barrel and mag change.

I spent about 25 years disliking Glocks. Didn't like 'em, wasn't interested in shooting one, most assuredly wasn't going to own one. Then I found myself on the hunt for a poly-9. The long story is in A Grudging Review of the Glock 19. The short story: I still don't want to like them, but if I'm going to be honest, I have to admit that I'm beginning to understand the appeal of the G19.

If I just have to choose a favorite Glock, I guess I have to go with the G19. It's the only one I own, and the only one with which I have any experience beyond one magazine.

Gun Master, I'd also suggest that you find a Glock that you can rent or borrow. Put a few magazines' worth through it. If you still hate it, at least you can say, "I've given them a chance, and I still hate them."

I have a little in common with Gun Master. I never saw any appeal in Glocks. They are ugly, don't feel right, and are often accompanied by really annoying fanbois. I would put them in the same category as the Toyota Prius.

Then I followed some sage advice and gave a few a try. I tried large, regular, and compact models. I shot 9mm, .40, and .45.

So now I have a new opinion of Glocks. They are ugly, don't feel right, are often accompanied by really annoying fanbois, and they don't shoot well. I would have trouble hitting the side of a barn from the inside. Now, I could admit that it is me and not the pistols, but I shoot everything else just fine. Mayhap, I have trouble aiming because they just feel creepy in my hand. Mayhap, it is all in my head.

So, I have given them a chance and I just don't like them. No, I don't hate them; they just aren't for me. Yes, I cheer on my friends who shoot them well. I even endure their "Glocks are a gift from God" attitude having a drink after the range. But barring some dramatic new model, I don't for see spending my money on one.

The best Glock is the one my friends are happy with.

I was just like spatz McGee for years. I even bought a G22 gen2 years ago and hated it, not much of a fan of the 40 cal. Then I traded it and 8 years later decided to try em again this time a G32, and I fell in love with it and have added more glocks since. If your used to 1911 style gun they are completely different and I think you need to spend some time with one to get the feel and once you figure out the trigger reset that's when you know why they have such a huge following. The beauty of a glock is on the inside

Gun Master, I would really try shooting a glock before knocking them. Not saying you have to drink the koolaid mind you but you might just be surprised how nice they shoot.Their beauty is in the simplicity of its design.
