This is one of those dream-big threads, so here goes:
(I know some of these have already been mentioned, but I'd want them, too)
Luger P-08 in original configuration and with a double-stack magazine.
S&W Schofield in .38 special/.357 magnum
Mauser C96
Remington 7400 (or similar) in .223 built to take AR15/M16 magazines and .308 built to take M14 or FAL magazines.
MP-40 Pistol (with the ability to have the original-style folding stock added with a tax stamp).
Modernized Walther P-38 with double-stack magazine, frame-mounted safety and improved firing-pin block.
I want S&W to bring back the Night Guard revolver line without the internal lock.
What sort of problems? I have a 99 and 92 that have had none. Feeding problems are usually the fault of the magazine (which can be fixed or replaced easily enough) or feed ramp condition (which can also be fixed). I will grant you that a decent gun should function well right out of the box, but if you want a Beretta 92 with frame-mounted safety, "fixing" a Taurus 92 would be easier that "fixing" a Beretta.I'd like to see a mass produced Beretta 92-series pistol with a frame mounted safety, like the "Beretta Stock" which is seldom seen on these shores. Preferably with the 92 Elite or Elite II upgrades. (I've seen enough problematic Taurus PT-92s to not want one of those as an alternative.)
S&W revolvers without The <expletive> Lock.
Ruger Redhawk "+P" . . . same as regular Redhawk, except with the improved metallurgy Ruger put into its .454 Casull Super Redhawks.
And though this isn't a rifle thread, I'd like to see a heavy game rifle with a pop-up peep sight in the rear of the receiver like some of the BRNO ZKK bolt action rifles had a few decades back.
+1I'd like many of the current pistols to be offered without that stupid rail!! Keep those lines clean and smooth.
Now THAT is an idea! For Ruger to bring back the Old Army, but also to make a .36 cap and ball on the Single Six frame and call it the "Old Navy."
I would like a schofield top break in 45acp with moon clips. 6" barrel. And blued like an old school s&w
My wish would be for a top-break (like the Schofield) revolver strong enough for .357 magnum.
