whats your favorite caliber

.357 Magnum. And the only reason I say that is versatility. Really if I were limited to .38spc it wouldnt hurt my feelings any.
The .38spc is the 9mm of the revolver world. It is cheap to shoot (I can buy reloads cheaper than I can do it myself), you can find the stuff anywhere, and there is a wide diversity of ammo choices for lots of applications. PDs issued .38spcs for like 50 years--they must have known something.

.357 Mag

I love the blast and flame from a shorter barrel. I love that it shoots flat from a longer barrel. I love how 3 lbs of American wheelie feel in the hand. I love how you can get from snubbies to lever guns to darringers in this caliber. I love that you can use .38s for practice.

I just wish they made a Schofield #3 Russian pattern in .357. That would be a beautiful revolver with an awesome round.

I really like the .357 mag. It's a blast to shoot and I can shoot it a lot with out my hand getting sore at all. My 686 is one of my favorite guns if not the favorite.

I like the .44 magnum. It's versatile and a lot of fun to shoot. Plus I shoot it better than any of the others I own (.38/.357, 45 Colt, .454).

Depends on the gun. Through my 686, I love magnums and I have a blast whenever I use it. Though my 60, I love a .38 -- although I have great fun with the New Single Six too, so I guess my favorite caliber is whatever I happen to be shooting. :D

I can appreciate the new 500 S&W Magnum, because when I'm carrying a handgun, it's my back-up gun for hog hunts. It's a reassurance thing.

Cool magnum
357 magnum. I can shoot 38 spl and pack magnum heat.

I AGREE.

My favorite is actually two, the .44 Magnum/.44 Special. From single-action Rugers to N-frame Smiths, it is my favorite duo. My #1 preference is lightly loaded .44 Magnums, followed by .44 Specials, with full power magnums coming in 3rd favorite.
