Would you ignore work policy or state law to defend yourself?

A mustard bottle (one of the small lunch box type) filled with ammonia can be a good chemical spray, same goes for small ketchup bottles too. If asked just say I like the taste if this kind of mustard. Another is to keep a pair of sweat socks and running shoes at work but just happen to have a bar of soap in one sock. Makes a good weapon in a pinch and you can say that you like to take walks after work. Or even just the sock and bar soap in your pocket. Easy off oven cleaner, take a small pin and heat it up and melt a larger hole in the spray nozzle. So it shoots 10 feet, makes pepper spray look like water. Some stores sell the 6 or 8 oz size cans that are easy to hide no one thinks of oven cleaner as being a weapon. Just get creative there are many self defense options and all it takes is a creative mind and a trip to a hardware store.
also a $10 roll of quaters can make a punch hurt alot more to the bad guy and everybody can use coins.
