It would be real hard for one to argue with thisBest competition CZ shadow 2.
Best all around CZ P-01
Best CC Shield
....is?....The best made (reliable)in your opinion?...9mm only, and ever day use...?
I'm going to confine my response to self defense guns at or under the $1,000.00 mark.
Striker fired:
Glock - They've been around for a long, long time. They're a proven platform that's reliable and accurate enough for most people's needs. They have an enormous aftermarket; if you can't find something for a Glock, it's because it doesn't exist. They're simple. The exact same manual of arms applies across the board regardless of size or caliber chosen. Downsides, their ergonomics are garbage (in my opinion). Triggers are pretty bad when compared to many of the newer striker fired options out there. The factory polymer field goal/dot sights are pretty bad. Did I mention that the ergonomics are bad
.
You certainly have some issues with the Glock and it seems that you are not alone. However, the "trigger" should not be in the list since for $20 there is a vast array of trigger choices to make it from a match trigger to a trigger that is so stiff it is virtually impossible to use (NY-2).
I was also surprised that you had no 1911 style in your list of best.
Can't say it is the "BEST" but can say, that I don't care to have any that maybe be better. For me, when they get as good as the SR9C, what is the point of trying to find something that is better. It would be like having a great hunting dog that you love dearly, and still want something else. I am also a LC9 fan, and a LCR. All great quality guns and gun that are just plain fun to shoot. My only Complaint with the SR9C, is the fact that it is just too easy to shoot. Almost like a 22.cal and accurate as heck. Hence, I really don't shoot it that much. I love shooting the LC9S. Mild shooter, slim design for carry ETC. Lately have become addicted to the LCR9mm. And while we are talking, went through 4 LCP's found the Pico and never looked back. In fact a month later, pruchased a second one. Man the Pico is a mild shooter and eats any ammo I have fed in. Over 500 rounds now without a hiccup.View attachment 232776
I can honestly say that this ruger sr9c is the best 9mm that I own, or have ever owned*.

Relatively compact, reliable, extraordinarily accurate, and inexpensive.
*The only 9mm I have ever owned.
this sr9c had belonged to my son. When he wanted to sell it to buy a 1911, I had to have it. It just shoots too good to let go.Can't say it is the "BEST" but can say, that I don't care to have any that maybe be better.
