I would love a Remington Rolling Block, Calibers of choice are #1, 357 Mag, #2, 6.5 Grendel, #3 45/90.
Why would I buy anything if I don't know what I'm going to be able to keep?
Well, since nobody really knows who has what(Federally), and the time and YUGE $ to try to actually confiscate ANYTHING is SO big, not sure how that would happen(something approaching 10 million 'AR types in the US)......Why would I buy anything if I don't know what I'm going to be able to keep?
When i was in 8th grade, our janitor came into history class carrying a rifle like this soviet. He told about how he was captured by the Germans and put in a pow camp. The Russians liberated the camp, passed out some rifles like this one, and pointed the pows to the US Army lines. With that drum magazine, the Ruger PC9 looks remarkably similar to the WW2 Soviet PPSH41: View attachment 978312
For some reason, it's become a meme over my lifetime that a gun ban will be enforced actively. History has shown, from 1934 on forward, that is not likely the case. Possessing an illegal object is something that is used to hammer you harder when the state has reason to care about your existence, and until then it's an irrelevancy to them. The issue comes in when the penalties are life-altering, and the likelihood of discovery increased based on use.Well, since nobody really knows who has what(Federally), and the time and YUGE $ to try to actually confiscate ANYTHING is SO big, not sure how that would happen(something approaching 10 million 'AR types in the US)......

Ha! It does actually. It says “45 Colt”. Not saying the 45-70 wouldn’t be cooler though.Yeah, but....does the one you posted say COLT on it? That's worth at least $38k....
The history teacher asked him to do it every year. So, some dude is walking around the junior high school with a Russian sub-machinegun and all that happens is that the teachers and students ask, "say, can you tell us the story behind that gun?" THAT'S the America I miss!

The value of an functional object that has to be hidden at all times is pretty low....
Kamala Harris will soon be president and she previously concealed carried a handgun. She must appreciate the average persons right to defend themselves. There’s no way she could sign gun control bills that make defending ourselves more difficult without being a complete hypocrite. I’m glad she is a fair person of integrity that will look out for ALL Americans.
She is the biggest hippo ever !
Lots of sarcasm intended.
You could find enforcement in big cities. But you start going out into the rural areas and you’re going to find a lot more hesitation to knock on those doors. While I acknowledge what you say is true, I am not so certain a new ban will not be enforced actively.
Actually, there are a couple things I want. I want a couple nice .50 bullet moulds, 30-50lbs of holy black FFG, and I would like to have about 5k #11 caps. I really want to spend some serious time with my front stuffers this year. But I should have enough to get me by. On other ammo and components, I’m plenty prepared.
And I would like to have an M1 Carbine. That’s one of the only one’s I’m lacking for issued (and some non-issued) US military rifles going back to the civil war (class 3 excluded). And dammit, I want a single shot 410. Always have.
Our, and neighboring sheriffs, have all said any ban can go to hell and so can the man who signs it. They are very popular sheriffs. The police chiefs are pretty much in lockstep with the sheriffs. But they don’t carry the weight a sheriff does. And you won’t find a single officer or deputy in the neighboring 4 counties, maybe even the state, willing to knock on a door to confiscate a weapon because someone in Washington said to. I really love where I live.

Was on the receiving end of one of those in another life...nifty little weapon the 60mm.60mm Mortar
Quite alright! Pistols are on the list and you won't see me complaining in my thread. Excellent choice by the way.
Bro that is the sickest looking VZ 58 I've ever seen. I love that thing. I've heard great things about them, and I actually passed up on buying on right here on THR (which I regret immensely!).
Would love to get a VZ58 sometime but what has always kept me from getting one is the proprietary magazine, not a concern for you living over there, and really not much of one here in the US. But I need another type of magazine to buy like I need a hole in my head.
God bless you Czech's you make fine firearms and I really appreciate your recent fights for solidifying your gun rights. Keep up the fight against the EU trying to pressure you to comply with their draconian laws.
This post is not political
Theoretically, let's imagine an outrageous scenario where a firearm's ban is going to happen. In this totally fictitious scenario, you have a bunch of gun grabbers who got into power that are banning all sorts of stuff (although it isn't clear specifically what).
What would be the rifle / Pistol Caliber Carbine / firearm that you would want to buy?
...or would you maybe just buy more ammo
Won’t give the town, but it’s eastern Oklahoma. Remember, we’ve gone all red for a long time.Damn brother, what town is this? Are there any rentals nearby? My girlfriend and I used to share rent, but we broke up. Then I went into work and got laid off, so I can't afford to live here anymore.
